Match AS Monaco vs Tottenham Hotspur. Wednesday the 22nd of October 2025 UCL

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

There are people who watched this game and their take away is Pal made a couple of good tackles.
Some people will try to find positives. Others won’t.

Doesn’t mean the people praising Palinha for being in the right place at the right time on *multiple* occasions in this game don’t think other players stole their wages tonight.

What’s so painful is we only play the ball wide no matter where we are on the pitch , we never attack centrally , it’s so easy to defend against . Unless we have a set piece we just don’t look like scoring .
Our attacking structure is diabolical. Just pass it to Kudus and hope for the best. Players seem so scared to pass forward or to try and create something. Gray really deserves a crack playing as a CM, the lad can pass a ball . This Palinha - Bentancur double act has to stop.

TBH I don't really know much of Muani or what to expect

Why does richarlison sulk when hes subbed off. He was diabolical. Not sure atm if Frank feels this is a bigger job than he thought. Sundays game v Everton is going to be a turgid dogs of war game.
Hopefully Muani gets a run of games.
Got real presence about him, physical tricky, good awareness and glides over the ground.
Think once gets on the score sheet and “Feels The Love” and injury free we got a player.
I know who i’d want to mark between him and Richy…

Agree with a few others who are saying that it hasn’t been fun watching Spurs for a long time now.

It’s really hard to get enthusiastic about the club right now and it seems like we are going through the motions.

Not many players to get excited about either. We seem to lack an identity.

When I watched Newcastle versus Benfica they had so much energy and just properly went for it. We never see us play like that and haven’t in years.

It feels like we are waiting for the next generation of Spurs stars to come through and deliver and spark the club like what happened with Poch, or even with Modric and Bale before then.

At the moment it’s all meh. The football has been largely so poor for a long time now. Even winning the Europa final was done in an anti football kind of way.

Our attacking players Kudus aside are all bang average and Kudus isn’t ever going to get enough goals so that’s not great either.

I don’t know, maybe it will all click and this is the dark before the dawn but maybe it’ll never happen, that’s a possibility too.

Agree with this.
Our football has been pretty awful for years. Only Ange's first few games were different.

One of the criticisms thrown at Ange was that he overplayed the team which led to injuries. Meanwhile, Frank has played Porro, VDV, Vic, Kudus, Bentancur, Palhinha almost every minute across both cup and league.

Spurs seem to have lost the intensity they showed in our early league games, and are putting a lot less pressure on the other team. With the ball, it seems the priority is to slow the game down and remain organised - no desire to score a goal whatsoever. The team last night was clearly set up to settle for a draw.

Meanwhile, Johnson can't get a game - despite being our joint top scorer this season.
