The fact Frank has worked him out straight away makes me put a lot of faith in the manager on a wider scale.
In the last couple of games where he has come on and done very little, he still had 2 very presentable chances which he made a hash of so his raison d'etre isn't working at all.

I think a massive part of it is as well though is that Kudus is just better all round and Brennan just aint that good on the left , BJ scores goals though but he doesn't seem great as a Sub, would have thought him coming on last 20 minutes to run at tired legs after Kudus has run the defence ragged would work well, but as a team we just don't seem to be able to do much more than long throws and passing to Kudus at the minute.
Brennan , although limited as a player, if used properly will score you goals
For Frank to sort the effort issue, although I think it's simply him, but Johnson has an uncanny ability to find sp ace.
One goal and he will quickly get another 5 or 6.

BJ's pathetic scuffed shot last night, and his ballooned effort against Villa, were clearly missed by some, and apart from getting on the end of goal scoring opportunities that are served up to him, I doubt if many opposition teams consider him a threat of any kind, in any area of the pitch. To call your opinion "biased garbage", is clearly biased garbage(rubbish if you're British).

It's easy to just look at the goal tally with Brennan and think he needs to be in the line-up but it's just not that straight forward.
Now that we aren't building our attack around him we basically get all his bad parts without any of the good parts. He's a net negative and compared to wingers he's in the bottom 5-15% for passes, take-ons, carries, pass completion and bottom 1% for shot-creating actions. He's utter shit at everything except scoring so you're almost playing with 10 men unless you build your attack around him.
By far our worst performance of the season was in large part because Bournemouth knew he was a complete black hole on our left side. Teams know he's useless and actively exploit that fact when he's on the pitch.
Odobert's just a prospect but there's a reason Frank is persevering with him and trying to play him into form. He's actually a footballer rather than a sprinter with a knack for finishing.
Play Johnson in the games where we're going full on bunker mode, playing lower league sides or trying to exploit a high line like City but beyond that he shouldn't be anywhere near the first 11 and needs to be sold at the first opportunity.
Both him and Richy should have been sold in the summer. The longer it goes on the more players like them drop in value and we are left with nothing. Unfortunately the market for both is going to be tiny. I look around the league and see purchasers for Richy but I just can’t see many teams wanting Johnson.
Would probably be a bottom 6 team that plays on the counter tbh. Basically back where he came from to a Forest-like team that doesn't actually want the ball.
We might still get OK money for him as proven PL goalscorers are always tricky to come by and he managed 10+ for a pretty bad Forest team and a terrible Spurs team - good teams will know better but desperate teams will look past his limitations as they need the goals. Plus he's still pretty young so teams will know he has a little sell-on value.
Won't get our money back ofc but maybe if we're lucky we can get 25-30m from a West Ham, Brentford or promoted side. My main worry is he won't want to take a step down and will sit on his contract - depends how much he wants to play.
or as a sub when we're ahead and the oppo are chasing the game, he'll always be good for a goal or assist or 2 on the break. Which are valuable goals all the same, but starting line up very seldom

If he's willing to barely start he does have his uses I suppose. Shouldn't be near the first 11 most games, though.

Doesn’t do well at all when he comes on as a sub. Scores every 200 minutes or so, therefore, you’re looking at a goal every 15 sub appearances, give or take. No point.
Either find a way to take advantage of his one stand out attribute - scoring - or sell him.
If I’m a player with the chance of going to Tottenham I’m looking at the likes of Richy and Johnson as the front players I’d be playing with and thinking that’s not for me. Good players want to play with good players. These two are a hinderence on and off the pitch.
A good midfielder wants to play passes round the corner into a striker and feed wingers but you cant do that with these two.

Yeah I agree on the bolded bit for sure. My concern too, we wont be able to get rid of him. Maybe if Wales are close to qualifying for the world cup by January and he isnt playing then he might want to move to get him place back. He was dropped for a couple of lower league players for Wales last game.
