Totally disagree, stepped up big time last season, played everywhere on the pitch excepect his best position and very very rarely let us down. It says a lot about his confidence and composure which, I think, is exceptional for his age.
palinha coming in is perfect for him to learn from and gradually get some minutes at the right time, which is the correct way to grow a young player.
My point was that he's not done much with it. If he was 19 and hardly played, you could argue there's not enough to judge him on.
But there's quite a bit, actually.
Imagine calling Palhinha an "obedient fridge" when he's been one of our best/most important players because you are butt hurt your prediction that Frank would love Gray looks completely and utterly wrong.

Eh? He looked ok against Burnley but Sarr and Bergvall were both better. He was then never to be seen again in the league bar a 1 minute appearance Vs Brighton.
In the cups he was pretty meh against Doncaster, good cameo Vs Bodo and played about 10 minutes at full back Vs Monaco.
Why do people desperately try and make shit up just to prove a point??
The spurs fan base is appalling, oh so quick to shit over all over players, because they are not an instant success.

Your right about Spurs fans and now they don't have Levy to moan about many are at a loose end. Nothing much has changed over the years , here's an extract from John Pratt's page on Wikipedia.

I hated Levy, and it's going to be a few years for the mess of last season to go away.
But, I just don't get shitting on players, especially in the context of everything, especially your players, that have the potential to something special, which I think Gray will be.
The biggest problem with Spurs, are the fans themselves.
Bergvall, Gray, Veluvic or whatever his name is, Yang, the Irish Striker, we have a fantastic crop of youngsters coming through, one of the few things Levy did get right.
Buts it's going to be a waste, of they decide to leave, because are calling the shit all the time, despite the reality of things.

I dont think Spurs fans are very much worse than another fan base. I remember Spam fans actually hating Frank Lampard. I think Grey like Tel and Johnson are simply victims of the price tag.
If any impatience surrounds our young players its because Daniel Levy over cooked this narrative. He kept building up the jam tomorrow ethos selling the fans the idea that paradise was only another youth cycle away. It allowed under investment in the here and now a pretence of a cohesive long term plan...but there simply wasn't one. Its now made the fans resentful. And the Lewis family threw him under the bus and hung this philosophy squarely on him. Let's see them back up the talk. I can't stand Levy but don't believe for a second this was entirely HIS choice alone.

Yeah so was I, he played well, certainly one of our better players on the day alongside Danso, a positive performance for him.
The injury couldn’t have come at a worse time IMO. We're already thin on the ground and Archie has first team experience, which none of the "kids" have.

I don't, I think ENIC were not happy with Levy being a one man band.
Part of the reason he was ousted, was to install a more modern approach to the management of the club.
I don't think the Lewis family threw him under a bus, I think he left them no choice.
Last season showed, the club was rotten to the core. And only one person made it that way.

Covered really well in defence last year then hasn’t been used in his preferred position, except for about 60 minutes. Seems more of a club issue than a player issue.
I agree with this to some extent.
We could certainly do with him as an option currently.
So far he has shown he is a competent defender, and could be used to rest almost any of our back 4 without any major concern.
However I just don't see us missing him in the midfield positions though, he is way down the pecking order, and has looked a duck out of water every time played there, both seasons (with possible exception of Doncaster match).
If that is to be his long term position, he needs a loan out (assuming our injury issues clear up) to get some minutes and hopefully improve, and come back nearer the expected standard.
i think gray would be a instant success in the bundesliga would love to see him do some loans there 1 or 2 seasons and then comeback and be our midfield maestro for the next 5 to 10 years
very good game, good interview from him now too, basically saying him and berg talk a lot about trusting each other etc. these boys are the future of this club.
Never, ever drop him from now on. Finally the coaches grew some balls and started him. Will he have bad games? Sure, but you can see that the quality is there, and that he’ll become a superstar if we keep playing him.
