To be fair, I do think they have a far superior attack so I can see why you're wary of them.
But it's their midfield and defense which I think they're weak in and we're definitely stronger in that area.
So if they're moving the ball well in transition they could really hurt us.
But if we overpower them in midfield I think we can minimise that threat and then it's how we do in attack.
I don't think we'll win comfortably at all. In fact I'm predicting 1-1
United are still shitbags and I will be massively disappointed if we don't beat them. Other than beating the flat lining bin dippers at Anfield, the rest of their travels have yielded 2 points. A draw at the Cottage and last weeks 2-2 with Forest. Their best performance was at home to Sunderland and I'd like to think over 38 games we will be better than Sunderland. Honestly, they are still shite at the back, have a midfield who can't get around the pitch and are basically relying on 4 players... Bruno and their front 3 none of which are pulling up trees. I don't care if we are not free flowing... we just need to be positive and direct. If we do that, we will win comfortably. If we turn up fearful of what they might do to us, then we will get another performance like the Chav game. It's time for Frank to take the shackles off, stop with the stupid double pivot and let the opposition worry about what we will do to them.... big game, big test. I expect three points.Let's see
I want to be surprised and wrong. This isn't about being right as opposed to how I see both teams at present.
I think we will need a season's best performance (so far) to win.
We also need one of our front men to start delivering the goals they are paid to provide.
RKM you heard it here first.Let's see

I don’t think they are mate. I’ve watched their games and what they do have is a couple of front players turning up. Midfield is so open and pish at the back.'Win comfortably'
That's a ridiculous statement.
One of the wildest I have seen for some time.
Every chance we lose.
They are 100% playing better than us at the present time, and have so many options.
You might be proven right but minimal basis for that level of confidence
I don't need added fuel. It's so easy within a few non-paragraphed words and where you have set exoectation and likelihood so high that failure is nearly inevitable.
I'll be content with a point.
We don't have the players or the preferred style of play to dominate teams, which some teams are able to deliver, pretty much only on their home turf. Aside from City, that lot down the road and Liverpool, only Newcastle do that.
I fear you will be finding added fuel to your opposition to Frank by 3pm on Saturday.
I hope Frank has now realised, especially at home, that the double pivot of Pally and Benny, slows us down and brings teams on to us.Lineup I want to see vs ManU considering all factors -
------------Vicario-------------
Porro-Romero-VDV-Udogie
-------Palhinha-Sarr---------
--Kudus----Xavi----Odobert-
-------------Muani-------------
I think that this side has sufficient amount of power and aggressiveness - basically everyone except for Porro, Xavi and Odobert are very pysical players that can make life very uncomfortable for opposition. And we know that if Ms Crybaby-Fernandes gets shoved few times and roughed up, he throws in her toys sooner rather than later.
Basically we have very few questionmarks left
- does Spence start or not (would be nice to rest Porro, but I think we'll need his deliveries).
- who is the 2nd winger next to Kudus; my preference being Odobert
- who starts in CM; I'd rest Bentancur (though he has improved lately, have to admit) for this and play Palhinha-Sarr; but I guess most likely pick by Frank is to fall back to Palhinha-Bentancur CM duo
I don't need added fuel.
I dont think Frank is good enough anyway, but whoever was in charge of us, I would expect us to win the majority of our homes.
I would also expect us to beat a shite United side especially after bringing in 4 seasoned internationals this summer. Kudus (42 caps), Palhinha (37), Simons (31) and RKM (31).
When was beating United at home such a high expectation. We beat them 4 times last season with a team that finished 17th. Honestly, your blind love of Frank is clouding your judgement so much you're already preparing excuses.
There are no excuses.
He's been here 6 months.
He had a pre season.
If the team cannot find consistency then it's on him and nobody else.
Is that enough paragraphs?

I think you are under expecting. No, you are under expecting, maybe deliberately because that provides a narrative to endorse your position that Frank needs 4 seasons to establish us as a top half team.Yep, but the absence of reality compensated for the spacing.
I think you are over-expecting. No, you are over expecting, maybe deliberateky because that provides a narrative to endorse your position.
Are we allowed to win by 1 goal in the unlikely event,or would that not be considered emphatic enough??!!
You're over expectingRight thread this time
We were exceptional on the counter with 10 men this Tue. Some of the best attacking play from the whole team I’ve seen in a while. Be interesting to see how Frank utilises this against a Yanited team growing in confidence.
Hopefully the early KO doesn’t ruin what on paper should be a great game. I’m going for an entertaining 3-2 win, end to end stuff. Though I will settle for a score draw!

I’ll have a wee bet with you and I’ll give you Utd a goal of a start
Story of my life mate.
