Vs their 343.....

Our FBs & wingers need to be on their game and force their WBs back and shut down their wide game...... Force them through the middle and we can out-number and outwork Fernandes and Casemiro.
They will kick lumps out of us and get away with it. Meanwhile we'll concede at least one penalty for giving their striker a stern look.

It is written in the Stars, or at least in the memo that the PL will send to the PGMOL.

Totally agree with this. Trust Johnson with more end product than Kudus at the moment.

Not saying Kudus is poor, he's definitely a better ball carrier than Johnson, but his end product isn't as good.

Kudus - EPL G/A per mins = 1 per 145min........ Could be better but he's doing alright.

FWIW Brenan = 1 per 190min.

In all competitions this season so far:

Johnson
G/A = 4
Minutes Played = 802
1 G/A per 200 minutes

Kudus
G/A = 5
Minutes Played = 1128
1 G/A per 226 minutes

There you go, Johnson has statistically produced more goals and assists per minute than Kudus, in all competitions so far this season. Also worth mentioning that Johnson has achieved this while being a sub most often.

Both players should definitely be doing better though.

Our form is up and down like a bride's nightie. Let's hope we can keep it up for more than just one game.

Copenhagen weren’t all that and gave us time to play

The Chavs didn’t which was why we didn’t get a shot on target

ManUre might give us space tomorrow hopefully

Stats make me laugh. In those 1128 minutes Kudus has played he’s done more than what Johnson has done in his career. It’s not all about G/A. He takes us up the pitch. He carries the ball. He frightens his opponent. He bullies his opponent. He shows skill.
Johnson in his 802 mins has scored 4 goals and that is it. There is nothing else to his game.

Oh well, if the Prem and Euro trophies are gone this year, hopefully we'll win the 'Takes us up the pitch' or 'frightens the opposition' trophies.

Goals and assists are overrated anyway.

With Mbeumo and Cunha they are pretty well set up to play on the break.
We would be daft to help them by pressing too high, so hopefully the crowd will be a bit patient if it isn't Tora! Tora! Tora!

“Key” for Solanke return = we’ll see him in 2026
heavy metal GIF

He’s almost ready.

Just a minor knock.

He'll start the same team, except Palhinha Iwill be in.

Kudus on the bench.

Fully expecting:

Vicario

Porro
Romero
VDV
Udogie

Palhinha
Bentancur
Xavi

Johnson
RKM
Odobert

Which is crazy to me because his injury record before he came to the club was exceptional.
Hes ok but not a sheringham, klinsmann, lineker or that type of calibre forward I've been accustomed to watching over years. Tbh I think we are slowly overcoming the ange aftermath of injury casualties. Muani I think will score tomorrow and being called up for france will do his confidence the power of good.

You’d rather watch Johnson than Kudus?

That's a great question.

I like Kudus, and I like Johnson. I'd start them both if they're available tomorrow as I think they're both better then Tel and Odobert at this moment in time.

Kudus is definitely a more exciting player to watch when it comes to dribbling and taking players on, but Johnson isn't the bum you make him out to be. As the stats show, he has produced more end result per minute this season and he deserves credit for that.

To answer your question. I'd rather see my team win, and both Johnso and Kudus have important parts to play in making that happen.

Think we will sell Solanke next summer tbh. Cant rely on him being top striker for our attack. Need better quality.
If (as some rumours this week) are suggesting, then we're seriously looking at Ivan Toney...

seeing as when we were looking at Ivan Toney before, it felt like a toss-up between him, Solanke or Ollie Watkins as our best "English #9" to go for...

Missed out on Watkins, Toney went abroad, and I think we may have 'settled' for Solanke after all...
Maybe this season is the season we get who we really wanted all along!

Frank HAS to have sway with ex-Brentford players at some point, so it may as WELL be Toney... 'cos he certainly didn't with Watkins and Mbuelo!
