Better to be there than not, tho.

I'll take it.

Won't end up there (unless we have an unreal January).

But there has to be something fundamentally being done by the manager that has enabled that to happen, especially with the injuries we've had.

My glass is half full.
Admire the half full. I'm leaning towards half empty because there just isn't alot to cling onto. Not seeing many reasons for optimism.
People will rightly point out we are 3rd but we're unlikely to be top 6 come tomorrow evening. Then it's that lot the first game after break and let's be realistic we're losing that.
I genuinely believe we will be in bottom half of table after the next round of games and lets be honest, given how we have played that's ultimately where we deserve to be.
Unless it gets a lot worse he should be given the season but we have to start seeing some positive signs because theres really no sign of them yet

He's not glass half full, he's delusional. If it were any other manager, he'd be having a meltdown.

I’m truly amazed that some think Frank is the main issue.

The squad is woeful and due to the hectic schedule he can’t play the same players every game.

Even Pep struggles with this squad.

Our defensive solidity, overall, has been the positive.

That's the foundation.

Squad is pony in supporting attacking injuries we've had.

He feels he needs to rotate to avert more injuries, but then has tat to come in to fill the gaps.

It is what it is.

Ah look at you with a great straw man argument. Fans were pissed at him taking off xavi who was by far our most creative player.
No one was moaning that Tel was coming on it was who was taken off for those subs.
Let's not pretend his subs were an act of genius, they were needed because his starting 11 and tactics were poor.
We were average at best again today and given the reaction of the crowd at game the fans are far from convinced by him.
He didn't have to make those subs. He could have decided to make different subs or not make any at all.
He decided to take Xavi off and we played better when he went off. As well as that the player that replaced him scored.

Muani had the least touches of every player on the pitch and got hooked yet people moaned like it was an incredible decision. It paid off because the player he kept on scored as well.

Criticise him for his starting 11 but at least have the decency to admit the subs were good FFS.

I'm still torn on Frank, take the emotion out and position wise you have to say for the start of a project its a very good start, Its just watching us play we can look so shit, Still for a manager who always starts Slow we have to try and be positive that we are picking up points, next window is vital - lets see if Levy was really the one holding us back, I get January is not the ideal time to buy players, however we have gapping holes in the squad , time to get that wallet out Joe!

The annoying part I find is that when we do go on the front foot we look half decent! Leeds, villa, 2nd half today, psg. But he is very cautious and often leaves us with a mountain to climb or we re trench and give up the momentum.

Think once he trusts the players and gets some more depth we will see this change! Hopefully with dom, kudus, kulu back we can assert some forward foot pressure

I didn't like the fact he took off Xavi but he kept Rich and Tel on who both scored, Odobert was the difference when he came on but he should have started IMO.

The players he brought on where the right choices but imo the players he took off weren't.
Ultimately we were poor for 80 mins and only got a draw against a mid table team which unfortunately is our level as well.

Overall I'm underwhelmed with his start for us with no real green shoots or many positives. Hopefully things improve quickly

This is basically us

We have an almost Gooner level set of defenders minus a spare left back to cover Udogie properly.

A Man United or Palace level set of midfielders.

An Everton set of attackers.

We arent miles off being a really good team but need to make the right upgrades if we are to build consistent success.
This is it.

Tho I think Wharton, alone, bumps Palace's MF ahead of ours.

And I am genuinely shocked Baldcunt didn't buy Beto, as that's a classic shinehead signing right there.

That’s been the case over the last few seasons with the exception of Kane & Son we’ve been average very average we’ve actually over achieved but more so by other teams inadequacies under Conte champions league qualification, Europa league if United hadn’t been dogshit we’d no have won that……Frank has his work cut out if anybody thinks Richarlson, Johnson & Tel are gonna terrorise defences at home and abroad you’ll be in for a shock

A win might not have been the steal I thought it would have been.

We were 2-1 on shots + shots on target against them today.

They were never really in it, we just gifted them two goals with lapses at two balls coming over our box (matron).

We didn't have kudus and they've upgraded their front line.

They still can't beat us. lol
