Summer 2025: "Ange finished 17th because of how shit our squad was. They're all terrible"
Autumn 2025: "It is embarrassing that Frank can't take points off the most in-form Woolwich side for a decade and the current Club World Cup winning Chelsea side, who both happen to be in the top 2"
Take points off is one thing, have any shots on target of any note at all is another.
It's clear that people are pissed off about the manner of defeats, and I'm somebody who is advocating for at least a full season for Frank, but it's obviously not about the results at this stage it's the performances and unwillingness to commit to attacking football.

Didn't say anything related to that specifically ya BITCH. Let the pre game cunts off commence....

Ange was very good at giving inspiring team talks I'd imagine, but the players need to be good at inspiring and firing themselves up with meaning and passion to play for the shirt, without having a manager needing to give them a reason to!
Frank will do it fine.

“Come on, also, take risks but don’t take any risks. You see we will lose some matches, only 10-12 will be top quality. Also you are making me look like a floppy haired, gum chewing bellend. Also no shots outside the box. These are low percentage. “

I said before the Chelsea game I'd be happy with a point from our next three games.

However, I am disappointed that we threw away points at ManU, and cowardly players who sat back against a 10 man united team.

I am still happy. Chelsea and Woolwich are going to finish top 4 easy.

Need to give the man time and windows, and if this time next year, things are not improving. Then questions need to be asked.
Jesus - give the man another 100m in January and 200m next summer and then having spunked 500m we can all agree he's fucking out of his depth... if he somehow survives past Brentford (and we need minimum 6 points from our next 3 games) then I still wouldn't give him a penny to spend in January. He has spent 200m and we are looking worse by each passing week. Let' s see him improve what he has... this isn't a dumpster fire of a squad the Franatics make out... there are good players to work with and a good manager (not even a very good one) would have this lot competing at the top end, not mid/lower table.

Yeah.
I can accept losing to a good side. Even heavily. If we have a go.
August 2011 - lost 1-5 at home to City.
We had 10 shots on target.
15 in total.

2025, lost 4-1 to Arse.
3 shots.
2 on target.

Oh, it's another Muppet, expecting us to beat Woolwich, Chelsea, and ManU was going to be a tough game too, given the circumstances of the squad and injuries, who are leagues in front of us...

Total fecking deluded fan base, and probably cried like a pathetic little baby on Sunday.

Here, let me laugh at you 😂 😂
United just got beaten at OT by an Everton side who went down to 10 men after 15 mins and who we beat 3-0 at their ground... but hey, United is a tough game... same United we beat 4 times last season... give it a rest!!!

I think we have been far too reactive in the games we have played badly in. I think Bodo was an anomaly because the pitch played a part. We probably got too comfortable after playing them at a different time of year before. They seemed to have better control of the ball and grip all match recently.
The others though, IMO, we had a plan and we executed it. I am seeing plans in the games we're not playing well in, too. But they're not good plans. All we can hope for now is that Frank sees it too and adapts.
We don't want another manager too stubborn to adapt.
imo we created some imbalance with kudus and had some early success but teams have adapted and mark him out and we don't have the counter adaptation yet. what frank has been trying has been extremely underwhelming too and i think that was a miscalculation on his part. boring safe pragmatism wasn't the answer at this particular moment and i think he needs to realize that soon.

Utter garbage... massive spirit last season that took us to our first trophy in 20 odd years... but you just re-write history and call it a fluke or a second rate trophy!!!
lol, no

There's definitely been teams adapting to what we did early on.

But other parts of our tactics that are more subtle just aren't working.
We've been trying to entice the opposition to spread out by taking all our goal kicks, long or short, with defenders in the box.
I can what we're trying to do. If we have 2 CB's in our own box, it entices the opposition front players to stay up creating space on the pitch.
But all I've seen from it, all season, is us giving the ball away and being immediately under pressure as the opposition are already in our 3rd.
We're also heavily reliant on winning the ball back in the opposition half. The problem is, we give it away as soon as we have it. Often because we try to play passes that aren't on because.....
Apparently we only want to shoot when we'll definitely score.

None of this is working.

Massive spirit

Brother is talking about beating az, Frankfurt, Bodo and the worst united team in generations.

Bro thinks a competition which is literally Europe’s 2nd tier cup competition isn’t second rate.

Bro is delusional.

2nd tier cup maybe but I think the "team spirit" shown here is fairly strong?

No reason to believe Frank can't also achieve such things if given time and players to do so.

You stated you were happy, which therefore implies you are satisfied with how things are going.
The football was never this bad/humiliating, under Poch in his early tenure.
It’s all good mentioning next season, but if our home form doesn’t improve, let alone the style of play, then there won’t be a next season to judge.
Clearly using your eyes aren’t a strong point, if you can just brush off the derbies performances, based on their league finishes …
Yeah, happy to get a point from those three games (should have had 3 though).

Because it's an insanely tough run of games, for us, and the state our squad is in.

I didn't say I was happy with the performances.

You need to stop making stuff up in your head, and arguing points that were never made.

Burnley
City
West Ham
Everton

4 games. 4 wins. 12 for. 0 against.
Throw in the 4-0 win Vs Copenhagen and there's 5 comfortable wins, to nil there.

Yes, Bournemouth, Chelsea and Arse were shite. Absolutely shite. Wolves barely better at all.
That doesn't take away from other results/performances.

We actually played well 2nd half vs United and for the last half hour, were the better team.
After going 2 down to Bodo we turned it around and would have won with a few more minutes added on.
We drew to Brighton from 2 down and were the better team throughout. 2 fluke goals put us behind.

Let's not go crazy and pile on the team. After the number of surrender monkey games we lost last season with no fight, nothing, there's bound to be some downs this season too. You don't just suddenly remove that level of loser mentality in a few months.
Completely agree.

And we will probably lose tonight against PSG, probably the best team in Europe right now.

And the same toxic fans, will be throwing their teddies out the pram, because they think, that just because we are spurs, we should be winning.

Delusions of grandure.

The fact that you were ‘happy,’ to get a point from those 3 games, tells me all I need to know, about how low your standards are.

Nevertheless, games can be lost, however it’s also the manner in which we lost, which was truly horrific & quite frankly cowardly.

Out of curiosity, how many teams in the last 20 years have won a major trophy playing a defensive style? i.e. surrender the ball, sit back and wait for the other team to make a mistake. Don't commit players forward in open play attacks, wait for set pieces.

Chelsea under Jose maybe? (but they were actually more attacking than people give credit for). Athletico is the only other that comes to mind.

Spurs sold Harry Kane and turned into the best attacking team in the league, winning their first major trophy in decades. Ange had put the winning mentality back into the club - its mind blowing that Spurs didn't go out and hire an attacking coach; and compliment it with some solid defensive signings to cover for injuries.

Frank needs to get the team back on the front foot and stop them hiding scared in their own 18-yard box, blocking shot after shot; hoping one doesn't sneak through.
Leicester Shitty ?

But we've had that for a year and a half now, and people were making excuses for Ange despite the performances, because of the results (like the Europa run).

It's either one or the other
