I actually thought the first half was his best performance in ages. Made some great runs forward, got stuck in, actually looked a threat going forward on the left, which he doesn't usually.
Agree on the 2nd half though.
This! Not sure why we surrender space and the field so easily! We look so much better when attacking and pushing out game onto other teams. The minute we sit back we end up making these school boy errors! Our defenders are not good enough to do that

The last couple of seasons high press, aggressive style we looked excellent in attack. The defence was able to cope when the best 4 were available but fell flat when we had to play the understudies. VDV was forced to use his pace to mop up the high line - and his hamstrings couldn't hack it. Paired with a goalkeeper who goes to water under pressure - it all fell flat.
Fast forward, and this season we have dropped the press, dropped the high line and told the keeper to hoof it long at every given opportunity - despite only have 1 or 2 players in the other half to try and win it. (low block + long balls - hmmmm).
This is a young squad with some excellent talent. Need to be playing aggressive, high line, high press (ala Klopp's Liverpool). Should have gone out and spent 70 / 80m on the very best goalkeeper money can buy.
No . I think you misunderstood the point of my post. Levyoutnow was suggesting that we shouldn’t have a go at managers and players that had won us something. Basically he was defending Ange. I said that Ange had to go because there is no way that 22 defeats in 38 league matches is acceptable. Do I think 21 defeats is ok? Of course I don’t. And I agree with you that 13 defeats isn’t good enough either. Unfortunately I think there is a good chance that it will end up being more than 13 defeats

We don't have the cattle to be beating the top echelon of clubs right now. I'd say their squad is two goals better than ours so the score is a fair reflection of the difference in the teams.
Sure, they put 5 past us but we put three past them, (which they wouldn't be happy with as much as we're unhappy about the five they put past us).

Would have thought Frank has wiser up after the Super Cup. But no. Obviously not learnt his lessons.
Ange was a statue, he was acting busy looking at ipads.
At 4-3, would have thought we could up the intensity and go for the equaliser. But like against the scum at 3-1 after scoring, we just sort of retreating back to a normal pace as if we had taken the lead. Baffling. Opponents were not threatened at all, but given them the motivation to go for the kill. This aspect of weak mentality is pure disappointment.

Against PSG, I think our better was way more successful than had we put the Arseanal performance in...
We should and DO have enough to beat Fulham Saturday... anything less is either us not trying hard or caring enough!
We absolutely have the quality to win these games, ESPECIALLY at home!
And if we don't, then the problem is mental, not physical!
That PSG team has class in every position, its hard to pick out the 'star'
We played well we've what players we have which are nowhere near the PSG standard.
Frank needs to know when to attack and when to plug the holes and also and more importantly not to drop so deep and leave opponents on the edge of the area.

We scored 3 goals against the best team in Europe and we produced an xG that was 30 times higher than we did against Woolwich. For the squad we have that’s a good showing, clear improvement.
If we show the same again on Saturday we are going to win.

Agree with two goal difference point.
I know that some didn’t like shipping 5, but as we scored 3, that didn’t bother me so much.
I think people forget that the game is, or should be, about goals, and I saw some lovely ones yesterday.
If you asked me what I would prefer to see a 2-0 or 5-3 scoreline, I'd have to go for the latter.
Football is too sterile these days.

Ok we made 2 mistakes; chop 2 psg goals. They made one mistake; chop 1 spurs goal: FT 3-2 psg.
