Firstly, I didn't boo Vicario, or the team at HT or even at FT; I never (OK hardly ever) do. I was there to the bitter end and just shrugged and walked off as usual this season to start my miserable 90 minute journey home.

But for Frank to call those thousands that did boo Vicario "not real fans" is completely unacceptable; I'm not sure I like it, and I'm sure it didn't help his confidence, but I understand it and believe they had every right to express their dissatisfaction in that way. These would have been mostly season ticket holders, hard working people who turn up week in, week out to support this bunch of over paid and badly coached young millionaires. I'm an ST holder, so yesterday cost me about £260 (two Cat B tickets, F&B, parking, fuel); how people with young families and mortgages can afford to pay that 19 times a season is beyond me.

Yesterday's performance was terrible, but not unexpected (in fact it's exactly what I expected), and Vicario's cock-up was the straw that broke the camel's back. It could have been anyone, but it was him. If he or Frank don't like it, then tough.

For me yesterday was the turning point. I think he's lost the players and now he's thrown thousands of fans under the bus. And to think I'll be back there on Saturday. It's madness.

Out. Now.

I wasn’t expecting anything from PSG. Woolwich away. I just want to see pride.

Fulham at home? You have to be putting in a dominant performance.
Prior to yesterday. 6 away games. Scored 4. Against 13.
Within 5 minutes they are 2 nil up. That’s madness!!

It’s just a matter of time now.

Said it in the Fulham thread, but here our players all look so flabby. Are they retired players playing in a testimonial or what. No muscles, no strength. Can't be our jersey cutting right? Barcodes, Fulham, Forest, Wolves, Palace players all looked more fit and muscular in their kits who will wrestle every single one of our players to shame.
Are you having a laugh?! 😂

Yeah they all look like they need to be on the skinny jab!

One of the most ridiculous posts I’ve read!

Why you watching his pockets for?

Right is right and wrong is wrong. Is it alright to randomly call a billionaire a "fucking pussy" because of his wealth and nothing else?

It's counter productive to start booing a player after a mistake. You think booing will get him to a good mental state for the rest of the game?
The "millions" argument is always thrown as an excuse for pretty much anything, as if having pockets of cash protects you from mental health issues. Not saying that booing will contribute to ill mental health in this instance (it might), but not one of us knows what goes on in another's head, so using money as a fail safe to excuse any kind of behaviour always baffles (and slightly concerns) me

I've been a die hard fan since 1968. If someone disrespected the club I would want to start throwing haymakers or crush them verbally.

Now I am so disheartened I just dont care. I expect to lose. Or for us to embarrass ourselves in some way. I rarely attend and don't even watch the games on TV any more.

I only buy tickets out of some sense of blind loyalty but feel no excitement about attending whatsoever.

Sad state of affairs. Pretty sure I will be in back in the pub after half time next Saturday.

We went for a half-time pint which we rarely do (cos its a LOT of fucking stairs :D ) but ground was so empty some guests we'd got tickets for in Row 14 told us there was loads of space in front of them so we just moved down the front for the 2nd half. Never ever seen that before...

We can’t score cause our forwards are impressively bad and we lose games cause our keeper decides to do something that literally my under 15 Div 2 keeper knows never to do. FFS I’m not sure whether our CB or Own Goals by the other team is our top scorer.
Frank is trying to right the wrongs of a decade of getting free download version of transfer periods.
No manager on the planet is going to come in and fix this is 6 months and you know how I know…cause we’ve had the best managers on the planet try and fail and we keep sacking them expecting things to get better. It’s like driving a 1986 pickup truck in an F1 race and thinking “gee maybe if we get a different driver he’ll be able to turn this thing into a contender.”

In today's age of social media there is definitely less tolerance and patience, drama is amplified to generate clicks and revenue, so it's really hard for any manager to be given time to ride out difficult periods during the process of building a team.

But is Frank the right guy to give all the time needed to right the wrongs of past mistakes? He is a nice guy, good principles, but the big question mark is the style and effectiveness of the football his teams play. This is the problem of being a Tottenham manager compared to the majority of other clubs. The team has to win but has to win with style.

Also it does seem he is struggling with the frequency of games he is dealing with at Spurs compared to his time at Brentford. At Brentford he had a full week in between games to prepare and coach, here it's the opposite where we are literally playing every 3 days.

I just have some nagging doubts about how entertaining his teams are. It's quite shocking how poor we are at creating chances, progressing the ball forward, going out to win by being aggressive and brave in the final third. Also he was brought in to be an antidote to Angeball which left the team very vulnerable defensively but I think this season we have still defended poorly and are now shipping goals that we got away with earlier in the season because teams didn't finish to their chances. All Frank has done is made us defend deeper which any lower tier manager could have done.

My biggest thing about yesterday is there is no urgency to do anything. I see Thomas trying to get them to get up and press and there’s no reaction from the players. They take an eternity to do everything. Whether it’s goal kicks, free kicks, corners, throw ins and generally everything we just have no intensity or urgency.

And football players nowadays are soft stupid cunts who can’t take a hit. 99% of the time a player stays down doesn’t need to. It just wastes time and kills the game. It’s the same every game whether they are winning, drawing or losing.

Personally I have not booed the team, but I understand fans frustration right now.
The fans pay premium Harrods prices for an Aldi product, and that's a majority of the problem.
Most ,if not all of us are, completely apathetic to it now, I'm not even getting that pissed off anymore because, it is becoming the norm rather than the exception.
I don't believe the team are as bad as we are seeing but, Frank and his team are not improving them.
He isn't the right fit to take us forward either, don't know how long they will give it before he is replaced
Enic also. Need to decide where they see the club, don't charge tier 1 prices when the team doesn't challenge for tier 1 prizes.
Lewis family, decide what club we want to be, or if you can't or don't want to make us a big club, sell it to someone who will and fuck off.

The coach and players are correct to call out the fans. Spurs awful home form is no accident. The players and staff have no love for the abusive thugs screaming abuse.

If fans want the players to perform better, they need to get behind them and support them - not boo when a pass goes sideways.

Performances are unacceptable. But the fans in the stadium need to step up and take some responsibility for that.

If you don't like the tactics. Or don't think the players are good enough - protest outside the game. When the whistle blows. Be 100% behind the team until the final whistle.

And it doesnt even work!
We've conceded 13 goals in the last 4 games

I’m amazed that people fail to see this!

Disclaimer: No, I don't want him replaced right now. I think he can still turn things around, even though I would gladly admit that this is just a gut feeling that no one is obligated to share.

Are those who are playing this game of But who's going to replace him?? even sincere with it? Because all I can see is a disingenious Gotcha! attempt that preys on the fact that most people here are not football junkies keeping track on hundreds of managers and their teams.

Again, this doesn't happen with players or any other personnel of the club: People simply want Vicario out as we speak for example, without pondering on who would replace him. People want(ed) Levy, Paratici, Lange out. But managers are different apparently.

That doesn't mean they're dying for Wells or Cochrane to finish the season by the way:Another disingenuous fallacy. We're only 1/3 into the season, if Frank were to leave tomorrow it would be quite possible to appoint another actual manager.

All of these are moot points anyway, as even if they suggest names they are getting met with:
  • LOL are you suggesting that flavour of the month?? He just did x.
  • He would never come here, forget it.
  • He lost his first 20 games in his most recent club, so you would be asking for his head in no time as well.
etc.

We've tried that countless times in the last 3 wins from 23 home league games - hasn't worked in any of them
I hear you, but from my experience, there’s been booing in pretty much every home game I’ve been to when we’re losing in particular when Ange joined. Whether it works or not is impossible to prove either way, there’s no way to measure the effect precisely. All I know is that it hasn’t consistently helped, and maybe it’s worth trying a different approach.

I can relate to this completely, I didn't watch the Woolwich, PSG games because, I knew we would lose them.
I didn't watch the game last night because, we went to our granddaughters birthday party.
I did think, before the game started that, the team might win last night, again though, they find new ways of managing to lose games.
There is a serious lack of motivation amongst the players, to be 2-0 inside the first few minutes shows how mentally unprepared they are.
Constantly stupid mistakes collectively isn't a good sign.
When Frank came in, he brought all these highly rated coaches and yet, nothing has improved.
When he sets up defensively they still concede too many goals, the club just cannot get it right.
I think Frank is a gonna, don't think he has what it takes here.

Before that, there was even booing early on in Contes tenure at half times.
