If you haven’t got the arrogance and self-confidence to think you can turn around and energise this club with a 62k stadium, facilities, and a load of under utlilised talent then you probably won’t ever be a top manager anyway. And like the rest, you’ll stroll into another job. Depends on what’s important to you I suppose.
I hope there is some panic in those corridors. The reality is, this is looking a lot like last year, and that’s not how it was supposed to be. We’re a third of the way into the season and about the same number of points separates us from 4th and 18th. I don’t think we’ll be in a relegation battle, but if we were that’s disastrous because there’s nothing to show that this crew would fight for each other.I do wonder how much panic there is within the corridors at the club.
Because I am telling you, looking at our home form over the last year, it's relegation level and there is no evidence we are close to turning it around.
I just wonder what the line of thinking is at board / ownership level, and I think Lange must be shifting uncomfortably in his seat.
There has to be some alarm. Away games are very hard to win in the PL, which means that we could feasibly find wins very hard to come by as we cannot rely on our home form, which normally saves struggling clubs.
We are in deep shit.
It might get to a stage where we need to install a battle hardened PL survival specialist.
I see the calls for Xavi etc, but hiring him to a club that can't win at home and in a relegation battle is really fucking risky.
If a Tottenham manager gets sacked in a forest and no one is there to hear it why is it still somehow Brennan Johnson's fault?Question should be
Who should be Tottenham's manager after the manager who replaces Frank is sacked?

Brennan Johnson is the Schroedinger's cat of football. He's both the best forward on Spurs and the worst and there's no way of knowing until you put him in a match.
Sissoko assistantBit left field but Harry Winks player manager . We are a banter club time to embrace it , I have lost the will to dream

The Sunderland guy has done amazing.A youngish progressive type who wants to develop talent.
Basically a Pochettino who is 10-15 years younger
He's my pick if the two big boys aren't available. Plays more similar to Poch. It's a balance between all our attack and defending (poorly) and nothing else.Anybody know much about Sebastian Hoeness at Stuttgart? Took them from relegation battle to 2nd in one season and has won a cup. But they have slipped back down the league since. I don't know anything about the guy really as a manager, does he have potential?
Yes, I know his uncle is a twat
He will be a headline writers dream the day the wins a titie:We nee
Yep, I think he'll be in the PL before long. I also like Danny Rohl. Did amazing at Wednesday and slowly getting Rangers back on track. 4 wins and a draw from 5 in the league.
Your post is exactly my thoughts.Really at a loss for who we should appoint if we bin off Frank.
Think Glasner is a top manager who would be an upgrade on Frank, but I think he'd have his issues here. Watched the Palace game against United yesterday and when they're clicking they're great, but since they don't try to control games with possession in a conventional sense, when things aren't working they are a bloody tough watch - they were dire in the 2nd half and it was exactly the type of performance Spurs fans would dig him out for. He's also a bit of a hot-head off the pitch - might not be such an issue under our new leaders but him and Levy would've been a disaster.
Similarly, Iraloa seems to flip-flop between being the second coming and not that great for Bournemouth. They're capable of brilliance but also struggle against the mid/bottom table teams quite a bit and I worry about his style translating to a team that plays twice a week.
Marco Silva...just nah.
Then on the continent there are guys like Hoeness who people keep bringing up. Might be great but is essentially another hopeful punt given he's also pretty inexperienced, doesn't know the league and hasn't won anything. If we truly believe someone like him is the best upcoming manager, then sure let's go for it though. Would prefer that to another safe, sensible pick like Frank who doesn't seem to have 'it'.
Beyond that, maybe we try and convince Nagelsmann to join for the 5th time after the World Cup...? Or take the easy route and go back to Poch, which I don't like the idea of but am starting to warm to out of pure desperation.
Thanks for the info, sounds like an optionHe's my pick if the two big boys aren't available. Plays more similar to Poch. It's a balance between all our attack and defending (poorly) and nothing else.
Obviously untested in England, so a gamble, but I've watched them a good few times and been impressed.
