I agree with you if the picture is the same after the season. But implementing a new philosophy takes time, meaning that if the players are not comfortable with it yet, they will fall back on simple methods, e.g. long punts.

But what is this “ New Philosophy “ .

I don’t really understand modern tactics; and it beats me .

At least under Ange we had See Spot Run talking us through it .

How radically different is TF’s system that it takes our players 6 months plus to even have a clue how to enact it .

Genuine question to those who understand modern football tactics.

If you can't read I can't help. We are not even this low last season at this point. But you do you.

We don't start this season at 17th continuing from last season points tally lol.

Why are you resorting to insults here.

You're comparing the start of the 2nd season of Postecoglu, with few notably injuries, with a team that had a over a year of his "training" in his system, in a season that started well but fell off a cliff from this point onwards.

It's 2 + 2 = egg

The issue here is that I can read; you're claiming impartiality but completely disregarding any fair comparison.

Being realistic, there was next to nothing good at all about either Postecoglou season apart from the first 10 games, so why can't we compare across the last 26 PL games?

Ange: P13 W2 D2 L9 = 8 points from 39; 15 goals scored, 28 conceded
Frank: P13 W5 D3 L5 = 18 points from 39; 21 goals scored, 16 conceded

That would be fair, considering frank is also juggling a ton of injuries, Champions League football, AND having to continue from what was left over.

He didn't pick up a team off the back of a top 5 finish with a fully fit first team squad

Your'e comparing Europa League games there to Champions League and Premier League games, though.

There's a huge gulf in quality, with only Bodo/Glimt the comparison, where we didn't play Romero, VdV, or Udogie.

So.... that's very selective pendantry

Umm, no... I also compared it to the first 11 games of last season when the back 5 were more or less available so it's an accurate dataset. I DIDN'T include game week 12 which we won 0-4 because Romero and VDV were missing. As was Vic after game week 12.

SO I showed the available data from when the Back 5 were available and playing in the league.

I then showed the EL games because those were the only games they played together in when they returned to fitness in March 25. As I said Romero and VDV only started as a partnership in the league twice in three months.

So... my pedantry was selective in the only possible way it could be selected: when the Back 5 played 🤷‍♂️

I’m not remotely surprised they are slightly ahead of us.

I mean.. in a vacuum it kind of shows how fucking pointless all the americanised excel spreadsheeting of football is.

If I 'expected' the bus to arrive on time and it was always early or late, then I'd be a fool for holding that expectation

Our bus parks in front of our goal and never leaves

52 is better than 38

Nuno was sacked because it was obvious the fans unanimously hated that he was even appointed, much less still there.
I'll never forget his last match - Man United. I remember it because I think both sets of fans wanted to lose more than win to get the manager at the time sacked.
52 is still not good enough.

And they're both just managers who are out of their depths at big clubs.

How anyone can still be making excuses for Frank are just deluding themselves.

So how much more worse does Frank have to be than Nuno before he deserves the sack too?

It's weird to me that one manager gets the sack for poor league form, and another manager has worse form and isn't sacked.

Make it make sense without pretending that Conte was going to join on game week 11 regardless of Nuno's performance, as others seem to have stated on here.

Lost the dressing room and at the point of no return
I think it was the poor Woolwich match that really done for Nuno, it was as bad as our match with them recently.

Another weird one to me is AVB has the third highest win ratio in the club's history, the other two were one during WW2, and one around about when the club was first founded.

Get that, better than Pochettino, better than Burkinshaw, better than Nicholson.

This is one very weird club.
