Redknapp was the most fun supporting Spurs. Definitely. It isn’t. The Pochettino years were miles ahead. A CL final dwarfs a EL win. I’ll never hear anything else.
It’s like comparing winning a nations league cup to winning the World Cup. I’d rather get a taste of glory at the highest possible level than win something dropping down. I’d rather finish 2nd in the prem than win the championship.
Spurs were legitimately one of the best 10 teams on the planet for 2-3 seasons; this over beating Bodo Glimt & co all day long. Cup or no cup.
I’ll take the Redknapp peak too thanks - amazing football and footballers weekly doing fun things.
But winning the EL is the peak of Spurs' last 40 years.
Had to hear on this forum for years about how all that matters is winning trophies, hearing about how Levy had failed the club and the supporters because of the trophy drought.
Now that we won something, trophies don't matter. Same as goals and results. What does matter is some mix of dribbling and running about.
