In fairness to the boy, sticking the head on somebody who was probably giving him hassle in a pub wouldn’t be the thing that would put me off signing anybody. It’s hardly a Partey/Greenwood situation.

It’s more a sad reflection on society that a scrap in a pub is front page news and leads to the boy being taken away in handcuffs. Back before the world went all woke, you couldn’t go out on a Saturday night without seeing at least a couple of fights, and the polis didn’t come running to arrest folk for it either, it’s how men sort things out

What would put me off is I don’t think he’s good enough to justify signing.

But, as you said, drappin the heid on a twat in a pub wouldn’t put me off.

It’s only front page news because it’s a footballer. Just like it was when Deeney kicked that bloke in the head and was done or Gerrard having that scrap in a bar.

I’ve like him as a player in the past but we shouldn’t be buying anyone who is going to Saudi at his age. Wrong mindset entirely. Plus I hope we would be aiming a bit higher than him. He’s not a big enough upgrade on Richy.

Fuck me,we’ve all been in fights and brawls. It’s part of life and if you haven’t been in one then you’re lucky.
This would never put me off a player. We don’t know what happened whether he was provoked or he started it.

For the record I do think he’s worth signing but won’t happen due to money,Frank doesn’t want him or he wouldn’t come to us.

We usually agree on most things but he’s a gazillion times better than Richy at everything.
