LOL, no, it didn't

It dropped because I'm going through a long divorce, moving house, and my life is stressful enough right now without having to add reading non stop negativity about Spurs.
Well good luck with the divorce and your new life moving forward.
But remember, the negativity towards Spurs is brought on by the club itself....and should never be blamed on the fans who get put through the mill time and time again.

Let's just ignore the 22 league defeats eh?

:ange-arms2:

For someone who doesn't like Postecoglou you sure do post about him a lot :D

it might be just easier if you apologise to everyone for telling them a new coach would magically fix us and stop policing other people's enjoyment of the European Trophy eh?

Some of us warned you the grass wouldn't be greener and we want to focus on fixing our current problems which have always ran much deeper than either Postecoglou, Frank or any manager to be honest.

Sooner you accept that sooner you can find some peace.

If some of the posters on this forum went to a club, got a few blanks but eventually pulled a babe, then had a great night of fantastic sex and got woken up the following morning getting noshed they would start moaning in their head about the girls that turned them down.

So many deluding themselves into thinking he was something special with basically nothing to go on...

Got rid of a proven winner for someone who's never won anything in their entire career.

The football he played at Brentford was crap. So many make it out to be something it never was. Had some of the lowest % possession stats and played some of the most long balls in the league.
Postecoglou is shit. Hes not a Winner...we...Spurs, never lost as many games in a single season ever until that fraud rocked up, we are still paying for it now.

Stop the delusion.

Frank is probably shit as well at this level, if that makes you feel better. But he is nowhere near as bad as Postecoglou.

Yeah, they have got some fight in them, which we need to see because we can play manager merry-go-round until even our enemies get bored of laughing, but at some point we're going to trust a process that actually works.

I don't think we've given it nearly enough time. Get a couple of good players in in Jan and we'll see an uptick.

Unlike with Ange, where I 'hoped' he'd pull it back, I 'think' Frank will pull it back. He just seems more credible and intelligent and I like a good process as much as the next nerd. TBF, I actually thought Ange was a good speaker and I liked his jib, but he was only going to build a super team if he got iniesta and messi and co. in their prime.

Frank has tactical flexibility* and emotional stability (would be nice if he screamed blue murder sometimes, but it's not strictly necessary), he's calm and erudite and we need a steady hand that understands how to grow a dynamic team, not just a plan A.

*yeah, it's part of the problem for now, but they'll either learn to adapt or we'll find players who will.

As for any replacements, it's just grass-is-greener bullshit, you CANNOT know if they'd be better, because you don't really know what the problem is, just what it might be. Give him a couple of seasons, if the players see we blame the manager and not them, we're just yet again teaching them that they don't have to take responsibility.

We can’t know that any replacement, even Poch, will definitely be better.

But tbh I’m not expecting much more from Frank. He’s trying to put in the same system he had at Brentford but with players not well-suited to it and with a fanbase that want to see more.

I get that you see Frank as a smart guy who can adapt and change but he’s been here 6 months now and shown zero signs of that.

We do need to give a coach time but we also need to be sure it’s the right coach we’re giving time to. What happens if we rebuild the squad to Brentford ball and eventually learn that really it’s just a model built on maths and odds that will get you enough wins to finish mid table with any resources but not one that can dominate games and win trophies?

Mate.

I just cant take you seriously... you said Richarlison has more strings to his bow than Solanke.

Richarlison is literally a Bow with no strings.

Easily one of the worst takes ive ever read on TFC.

Imagine if Forest said the same and Stuck with Ange.......

You can do back and forth versions of this forever. Every situation is unique. We aren’t nearly that bad. We’re probably going through to the knockouts of the champions league. That was a confusing hire the very beginning. And if we’re truly in danger of relegation, then I don’t have a problem with getting rid of him, but at this point, I don’t think we’re even close.

I agree, we don't know any will be better, that's kind of my point. We need someone who can adapt, I don't expect anyone at this point will turn it around in less than a season. Ange was a polarising force that reduce our flexibility for 2 seasons, entrenching a simplicity that we still suffer from.

I'd happily take the right coach over Frank, but I cannot be arsed to keep hitting refresh, hoping the next one is the one and we didn't just fuck over a better chance. But We'll find out either way by Easter, I reckon.

He wasn't reliant on him, hence why he went. He didn't play much and "despite how important he still was to us" was, well, not enough to get much game time
You see, this is where you are rewriting history my friend.

He played in 10 of our opening 11 Premier League matches, starting in 8 of them, and started 2 of our first 3 Champions League games. He also played in a League Cup game.
He wasn’t the player he was of course, but still a vitally important player for us.

He then picked up an ankle injury against Wolves in early November, and wasn’t seen again.

My point very much stands - he was still a key part of the squad (shouldn’t have been let get to that stage of course) and had he not picked up the ankle injury, he would have continued to play routinely prior to leaving for China in January.
He should not have been sold that January without a replacement being brought in - period. This revisionist nonsense that he was a crock that we were lucky to get any money for is exactly that - revisionist nonsense.
