I mean absolute every measurable metric points to you being absolutely wrong on that front. Position in the league at this point last season, expected goals, points in the league. Even the defensive stats are better!

That's with Ange having a lesser squad and more injuries to contend with.

Big Ange is many things, in which being a winner is undeniable. As well as being a bonafide spurs legend.

But yeah, I'm the delusional one 🙄

Will always repeat it - spurs fans, in part to the barrage of absolute shit we get from the media, are one of the biggest issues at this club. "Supporters" like you.

I didn't rate Postecoglou after I realised he was a fool but im not exactly Frank in, i said this way before he was appointed and am pretty much still on that same wavelength.

He's one of the few managers who has been done by Ange consistently.

Think he's a good coach at the level he is at and that's it

Supporters like me 😆. The fact you complained that I said delusional when you literally said it in the post I replied to about others

That wasn't a guy 3 months into the job.

But, FWIW, Frank has the rest of the season to win 4 games and equal Ange's record

Again, that's rewriting history.

Poch started leaving him out of the side and he had only patchy appearances until January. The reality is that he'd probably already decided his body was on the wane and asked for that move as it was a big payday. He didn't play a lot of games in China and retired not long after.

So no, he wasn't "replaced with Winks" in January - Winks was a regular starter already

Poch also rejected a lot of "furniture" that season, if you believe what the cheif scout, Pleat, and others have said (rather than people on forums)

Moussa Dembele was replaced in the first team by Harry Winks.

He just was.

Apologies if that upsets you or doesn't fit with your preferred narrative.

David Pleat was useful to Levy on several occasions as a caretaker manager and scout.

A company man who was loyal to the company.

I know my history by the way.

No need to re-write it.

I go back to 77.

Poch is loved and remembered with affection by the majority of the Spurs fanbase.

He's magic you know.

The miser was universally despised by most Spurs supporters by the time he had finished rinsing us and was sacked for being shit.

Ange had a Lesser squad? I don' t think so. Just having Son alone would've been better than the current crap roster.
Ange being a winner? Maybe he gambled all his luck on Europa and now is nowhere to be seen....

I agree, we don't know any will be better, that's kind of my point. We need someone who can adapt, I don't expect anyone at this point will turn it around in less than a season. Ange was a polarising force that reduce our flexibility for 2 seasons, entrenching a simplicity that we still suffer from.

I'd happily take the right coach over Frank, but I cannot be arsed to keep hitting refresh, hoping the next one is the one and we didn't just fuck over a better chance. But We'll find out either way by Easter, I reckon.
I’m done with Ange debates but at least you knew that when Romero and VDV played together, we had a chance of winning any game,

Ultimately he was an elite communicator that got great belief from the players but tactically far too limited for PL football.

The thing about constant refreshing was actually ended with Ange tbh. He lasted 2 years, which isn’t bad for an elite level club manager. If we don’t get a win in the next 2 games, I don’t see how Frank keeps his job.

Our aim is to be an elite club, there isn’t another elite club in world football who would have tolerated this first half of the season so far and kept the manager.
