Ten Hag, terrible season, but flukes a cup final win and suddenly they don't fire him. Only to do it 3 months later once he's spent a load of dosh!
Last season was their worst in the PL, and their worst ever for 50 years. But keep the guy, spend a load of money, and now fire him because of what he said!
Advice to the next guy - lose as many as you like but stay on message

2 of the worst managers who stayed up last season both performancehad an opportunity to salvage something in the EL final.....the winner gets sacked and the loser keeps his job.

He was hired as a manager, they knew how he played formation-wise & didn’t really back him in the areas he wanted . They clearly then told him to change his philosophy .
He probably saw no alternative but to call them out
I was never a fan of Amorim, even at Sporting, but this does seem an odd time to sack him, their underlying metrics had improved massively:

Amorim was wrong for United but he will do okay with other teams. In my opinion
