Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This could be recency bias but each time during the past three months, I have seen Harry Wilson he produces something outrageously good (and much of the simple things which we seem incapable of too). His cross for Fulham's third was as good as anything you'll see. The look up before receiving the ball back only enforces that it was intended. Contract up at the end of the season, too.

Like I say, might well be recency bias but he seems to do what we need, and often. Would fit whatever it is the club ethos is now; which is to say; fuck only knows, we aren't going to be bringing in star players but we do desperately need better ones, and he might well fit that category.

Him and Gallagher aren't going to get the peckers full of blood but both would make this current team better, and most likely do so without huge implications for an incoming manager.

Are we financially unable? Aren't we one of the football clubs in the world with highest income iver the past three years?

Maddison, Kulusevski and Solanke will all be back before the end of this season - but currently injured so not playing now as you know.

Spurs have already bought Simons who plays in a similar place to Kulusevski and Maddison.

Our problem is buying more strikers and no 10's as come the summer we will be looking at too many players to fit into the 25 man squad in those positions - so we then need to sell either the players we have now or any players we buy now in those positions.

That usually results in us losing money on players sold, destroys any teamwork e had built up around those players, is a huge distraction from doing deals with other players etc. So the conclusion from that is rather pay £200m or so for more players in the no 10/striker positions, we stick with players we have on board now (even if they are injured) ......... meanwhile any more injuries or suspensions means our already depleted squad (depleted die to injuries) become too small resulting in players being over played which in turn risks more injuries.... the nightmare scenario.

Maddison and Kulu will play no material part this season. Lets see regarding Solanke.

These were all known prior to the season starting.

Muani and Richy will be gone by the summer so we absolutely could be targeting a CF upgrade now.
We have no LW good enough to start so that too should be addressed now.

The injuries only increase the urgency. They are not an excuse for doing nothing in Jan.

We go into next season with something like the below (depending on the injury recoveries):

LW: New, Tel, Odobert
CF: New, Solanke
RW: Kudus, Kulu
10: Maddison, Simons

More to the point its January 10th and we are still short, why is Levy still negotiating for us???

You wanted him back a few weeks ago.

You flip floppin again?

With Levy. Without Levy. It’s still ENIC with zero ambition to move forward. This is going to be another poor window. This club has turned into such a mid table team

People are generally distracted by the 'fall guy' and ignorant to the fact that there's never been the owner funding that underlines the success of modern PL clubs.

Main difference is that the club is just a shell because people were dumb enough to give Lewises the bullet they needed to give themselves a clean slate and put an upper class gooner cabinet in charge

Would be the most Tottenham thing ever to rely on Maddison and Kulu coming back and making a major impact. Both coming off very serious injuries.

Will take them a long time to get back to their best. Or worst, they might never be the same players ever again.

High 'income' doesn't necessarily mean rich though. Someone who owns their own shop might have revenue of £200k a year but can only pay themselves minimum wage, because the margins on the profit are low.
I don't know how much the stadium makes, but I bet it has 2 or 3 times the staff of a regular traditional one each matchday.

Probably 10 times more than United, though that's more of a Jim symptom

Highlighting our clear need for a progressive passer in CM, The Athletic suggest Stilller…

This is by far our biggest need in the squad right now. Pair him with Palhinha and we have two slightly deficient but extremely complementary players.

A passer in midfield would make everyone better, especially our forwards.

This feels like a very realistic spurs signing too.
