It will be much easier to lease the stadium to an NFL franchise if the football team is in league one and ground sharing with MK Dons. It feels like a big sabotage job to make them money from their American mates
Oh well I can go and watch the Chicago Bears, they need a new stadium.

I STILL can't grasp that....
Surely the MORE successful the FOOTBALL team is, the MORE money it generates from that success, be it additional TV money, sponsorship, or - Whisper it - PRIZE money from Competitions and Trophies!

Or else, what was the obsession with finishing 4th all those years? To get INTO the CL to earn MORE money for old Testicle Head?

Winning games is never gonna cost more long term than losing them...
Unless every player is on an impossibly ridiculous win bonus that they're never expected to actually achieve??!
being compeditive ( positions 5-8 in league ) is easy to do without breaking the bank money wise, but to win stuff (league or CL) that takes big money to get & pay the players needed, whatever you get back in return via prize,tv, sponsorship will not cover those costs

Ahhhhhhh, I see!

No point bothering then really, is it???

But I thought that's why Villa backed themselves into a financial corner from overspending...?

Are they paying the price or not.... It's hard to tell?

This is all over the place

At the moment, in their eyes , they have hired the right people Johan “ The child catcher “ Lange , a bloke who seemingly looks for potential & it’s probably potential sell on value not talent & paratichi who we don’t even know if he’s at the club or eyeing up Florentino. One or both will be moved on after the window shuts so we can have a “ Fresh start “ ( version 107)

Levy was a micro managing narcissist , only thing he cared about was himself & his legacy, a late & over budget legacy . Oooh but now ENIC 2.0 are investigating our Daniel …. Because they care . We know nothing will happen

Remember the swashbuckling epic to rival Raiders of the lost Arc of finding the right manager ? To grasp the prize of Nuno after how many days ?

I don’t think hiring the right person is particularly high on the agenda but you can show faux ambition by annually replacing the furniture on the titanic , be that directors of football , players or whatever . Just looking at our strategy, we’re replacing Fabergé Eggs with Kinder Eggs

You can fool people into thinking there’s ambition but I think the vast majority now have seen through it . They could walk away tmw with a huge profit but they know there’s potentially more to be had . If they really cared , they’d go because it clearly isn’t working in a footballing sense
You seem to be continually trying to cast me as supporting ENIC. It won't work, as I don't.

Here is a suggestion: Why don't you all join each other in ONE video, share it on all your channels, and call for continuous walk-out in every home game from now to the end of the season. Stage protests at least twice a month until the end of the season.

Season ticket holders, or ticket buyers, you already know your not going to see anything entertaining inside. You already lost your money on something that is not worth it (might be bad for your mental health even and ruin your day). Therefore, just stand up and walk out.

In this situation:
TALK DOES NOTHING, WE'VE BEEN TALKING FOR DECADES
ACTION GENERATES RESULTS.
PERSISTENT ACTION MAKES CHANGE

We need a campaign from now to the end of the season. Since we are free already and nothing to look forward to.

LET'S MAKE THEIR LIVES MISERABLLE JUST LIKE THEY DID TO OURS.

It’s the balance. Look @ it this way, if it costs them £400m to generate £100m in prize money and finish 17th or it costs them £800m to generate £130m in prize money and finish 7th…

Is the risk of the extra £400m worth it to them, or is it better divested across Tavistock groups wider portfolios?

Many sponsorships are as linked to the stadium as they are to the football team now, so what difference it really makes I am not so sure. For every Kraken on the sleeve, you have Sports Illustrated on the stands.

A football match costs them, say £1m to stage, and generates £3m. A concert costs them nothing to stage, as they rent the venue to the promoter and they still likely generate millions from the consumer spending, such as through catering outlets.

If they have a licence to operate 40 events a year and 30 of them are football and only ten concerts, then what’s the real loss to them if we lose the European games and cup games ? They will simply hire the venue to others, as happened when we were out of Europe.

What football brings is not to be sniffed at of course, but it’s not as important as it was.

Flat figures and simplicity at play, but that is broadly what I think. 🤔 If I am incorrect and cynical, then happy to accept that.

I get that totally, to an extent re: positional prize money...
But what a out the BIGGER picture?
It's not just the riches on ONE season's outlay, it's the longer term interest (and revenue) generated from BEING a Trophy winning club, which then in turn generates more opportunities to WIN more and attract even MORE investment.

...and dare I say, if they did it regularly for a DECADE or more, you then generate a whole new FAN BASE who also want to support a winning club...

Why do you think every cunt and his dog seems to support Woolwich right now??
The groundwork was done in the late '90s when loads of impressionable kids and future footballers wanting a successful team to follow....

Fast forward 25 years and the likes of Eze & Semenyo are not even considering US because of their Gooner allegiances
.. meanwhile the kids who are now grown up Fans don't want anything to do with us either....

The older generation of Spurs (who DO remember the Good AND Bad days) aren't being replaced by die hard fans.... only Day trippers and fairweather fans who may spend in the shop, but will stop coming sooner or later.... unless they won't, and in which case What do I know?

I thought success breeds success, that's all.
But apparently it's more 'you get what you pay for...'

Buy cheap, buy twice!

What really helps ENIC is the shit show going on at OT. If they were doing better then where would all the eyes be. The Man U shit show is ensuring we are second biggest item for the mongrel media to wank over.

They've sucked all enjoyment out the club. Every time I look at what the club is doing it's a giant fucking negative, whether it's a result, an injury, some gossip, transfer news, management issue, discontent in the fanbase etc, everything is so fucking grim.

Following a club should be a net positive. Highs and lows expected of course, but it's just been low after low after low of late (with a very brief respite when we somehow got over the line in the EL last season despite finishing 17th).

Time to give the mental a break, far more to life than football. Maybe something will change in the summer but I'm done following the club until then. Best case scenario is ENIC get the message that they're not welcome or wanted here anymore and sell to someone who wants to win at all costs.

Hope you all have a good year in good health!

I will always consider myself 'Tottenham' but I mentally detached myself emotionally some time ago.

Joe Lewis family Havent a clue on running a club. Levy controlled it all. They maybe want to sell but need to get rid of Levy’s share holding. He is probably messing them about.
If I was them just sell it, not worth the hassle . It’s not as if they have worked hard to build it up. They own it because of an accident of birth.
What was Levy doing in the directors box at Madrid Barca game recently.
