Was a genuine disaster in the Poch days too. From when our form fell off a cliff in that February til he got sacked in November, we avaerged like 1.2 points a game. That was a disaster too.

Yeah it wasn't great but we was going through the stadium build so was a little understanding why we fell off and that team came to an end of its cycle....funnily enough because of enic not investing properly in the playing squad

Yeah there are definitely ENIC being awful factors, but that CL run papered over huge cracks and people forget about Poch rumored to have lost the dressing room, picking favorites, no plan B, Lo Celso and Tanguay, twerking for other jobs. Definitely didn't help himself. But this rhetoric that things got bad after he left are just silly.

Yeah i get what you're saying but I was just going back to the Poch era as a reference point because it was the last time where we remained competitive consistently.

Poch raised that team above their natural level. They were the best or second best because of his ability to squeeze every ounce out of every player on a 5 year net spend comparible to Southampton and Burnley.

Jose Mourinho, that serial winner.... came in and took over the same squad and barely lasted 18 months

That team was already on the wane the year before. Dele was done, Eriksen was space jammed and Dembele was gone who was the heart of the team. Mourinho by the time he came to us was done, absolute dinosaur.

If Poch was as amazing as everyone remembers, how did we win nothing? We had the best time aside from City for a like 2 years.

I don't care if we get Poch back, I don't think it'll work out but at least we'll all get closure.
 
Problem with all those wanting ENIC out is are there any genuine buyers , Man U couldn't find an outright buyer and last Aug/Sept Charrington asked any potential buyers to put in an bid or offer for the club and the response from people like Amanda Staveley and all the Qatari rumours was zero , where and who are the buyers ? they were offered a chance to buy the club and melted away into the shadows.

Listen I agree. But Poch is not infallible to any blame. He's hailed as some sort of martyr here. Again, like I've said, let him come back, whatever.

He's done nothing of note since he left, I think it'll be a disaster. But until it happens, it's all hypothetical.
