He’s probably cash poor and he can easily buy a lower league club (or even a lower revenue Prem club) with his share if he wants a controlling interest in a football club.
Minority shares are usually cheaper than majority shares so that would put the club valuation in excess of £3.3 ( £3.6 to £4b+). I wonder if he offered the shares to Lewis’ Trust first?

Imagine he bought a club and started to plow his own money into it 😆

He has ENIC shares he can sell; not THFC.

The idea that he can receive payment for THFC stock in lieu of reducing his % stake in ENIC sounds awfully convoluted (financially & legally).
That’s my point.

He’s a minority shareholder in the company that owns THFC. Those shares are typically worth less per share than the majority shareholder’s shares ( for obvious reasons). Depending on his agreement with the other shareholders, he may need their permission to sell his own shares in ENIC or, perhaps, give them rights of first refusal. Not an ideal position.
