Melvyn Kabongolo is the 11th Spurs U16 player to have been offered a scholarship commencing on 1 July 2026.

Kabongolo is a speedy RW/LW players reported to have scored 17 goals in 2023 plus assists (ie very prolific) but picked up a bad injury early in 2024/25 and haven't heard an update since. The fact he's been offered a scholarship is very positive as it means Spurs have cause to expect he's getting back to pre injury fitness/ form.

The first year academy intake for 2026/27 now looks like :

GK - Max Sievey,
Def. - RB/RCB Oscar Sandiford, RB/CB Oliver Dawes, CB Solomon Olajide,
Mid - CM Harry Hughes, CM/AM Toju Wellspring, Courtney Coffi-Smith (CM)
Fwds - Blake Bidace-Philogene winger/FB, fwd Zion Beckles, striker Phoenix Offiah, RW/LW Melvyn Kabongolo.

So Melia has a long term injury as well????

Elisha will almost certainly join u21 squad - wonder if it its too soon to expect to see him in Spurs u21 squad tonight

16 g and 5 a last season in u18's.

We are a bit short of attackers in u21's with Ollie Irow and Yusuf Akhamrich going on loan

We’re delighted to announce the signing of Elisha Sowunmi, who joins our Academy from West Ham United.

The 18-year-old forward joined the Hammers in the Under-8s and progressed through their youth system, turning professional last summer.

Capable of playing out wide or as a number 10, Elisha was top scorer for West Ham’s Under-18s last season – his tally including hat-tricks against Reading and Aston Villa – and helped them win the Under-18 Premier League Cup.

Following his arrival at Hotspur Way, he links up with our Under-21s squad and is eligible to play in tonight’s Premier League 2 fixture against Everton.

Welcome, Elisha!
