The lure of Europe has pretty much been shown to be a sham.
I think most players look at what they are being paid and club ambition, and not much else.
We have won the Europa and won't be winning the CL anytime soon, like most teams in truth..
I think we can't attract better quality with the current senior team, including the manager, so for me that's a first step, once survival has been secured.
Certain players will leave regardless, so it's how any such money is spent is how I see it.
I genuinely believe football is in a bit of a trough at the present time, so if we get the manager right, that's nearly all that matters.

As I said in a subsequent post Peter Charrington had said the cash injection reflects the club's and the Lewis family's ambition.
Balancing the books isn't ambitious, there wasn't really a reason to announce the extra money with such a joyful tone, if it's just a matter of paying off some debt and we don't get additional funds for players for the next, forthcoming, transfer window.
So no matter how we look at this money and it's announcement, I feel as if we've been lead down the garden path. if the money was to pay off some of the transfer debt just say so, instead of injecting the supporters with hope that we're getting more transfer funds for January.
Well, according to our CEO himself, more money.
I'm yet to see this imaginary money, but we're told it's coming.

If you’ve got issues with lack of transfer activity or any other aspect of how the club is run you deal with it behind closed doors.
What you don’t do is put out a whiny post on social media.
Maximizes his transfer value while he gets cover for wanting to fuck off to Spain. Half of the posters here who wanted him to fuck off will turn him into a Wiggy-like martyr forgetting that they repeatedly booed him off the pitch.
