Yup

Either nobody is making decisions, or worse, Vinai and Lange would prefer to sacrifice an entire season instead of admitting their decision to hire Frank was a mistake
I honestly think both of them could be at risk as well if we decide to sack Frank before the end of the season. Lange pushed hard for a long time to get Frank in ahead of what looked like several stronger candidates, and right now Vinai is giving off the impression of being an Woolwich plant more than anything else.

If it were up to me and I was part of the Lewis family, I’d clear the decks: remove both of them and bring in Paul Barber as CEO. Then I’d appoint someone like David Pleat as a Non‑Executive Director so there’s actually a proper football voice in the boardroom.

At the same time, I’d let Frank go and bring Poch in for the end of the season, but get him involved immediately—working alongside the interim, watching training sessions, and getting a feel for the squad before taking full control.

He must have some clause in his contract where the club would pay him a fraction of his severance if he finishes just above relegation or something. It’s the only reason I can think of why the club would continue to persist with him.

Playing a very dangerous game

Exactly

It must be that he has a clause, that his pay off is hugely diminished if he finishes bottom half or such.

If you bind this together with Lange and Vinai both picking him, it makes some form of (mangled) sense.

You'd hope they'd not be so penny wise and pound foolish

I think it's more, like people on the internet, that they won't want to back down from their judgement

Surely the board and esp vinai must be looking at that and having nightmares. The cone man with lesser squad than Frank had or has now is 10 points above us.

It’s fundamentally shown we’ve hired a fraud. No doubt about it. Let’s be honest we only hired him on his Brentford work and that’s been shown now in hindsight, to be completely misleading. Because if Keith Andrew’s who was the cone man, is now doing a better job with inferior players, it is damning proof that Frank is arguably an inferior manager or, being generous, at the same level to Andrew’s. And would Andrew’s be a candidate for the Spurs job? Would he fuck.

That’s shows the calibre of manager the board decided on with Frank. A decision that may well lead to our relegation. He seems totally incapable of even inspiring us to a win at home.

His been in
The prem
For a few years so must have known about Romero. Also I though with all the data analysis and details franks likes to get into he’d know everything about his players. Surely him and coaching team would know about Romero lack of discipline at times. I’d be amazed he didn’t know and he doesn’t have a dossier on each of his players to identify weaknesses. For someone being paid £8M / yr it’s his job to know this and work on it so said player doesn’t keep making same mistakes. Total BS!

That was embarassing. To hear Frank who was supposed to be a stickler for detail not even realise how often Romero gets booked. You wonder how out of his depth the guy really is

I don't think Vinai is a plant or even a goon fan.
I think he just got lucky with his only real act - hiring Arteta and backing him.
He now thinks that's the defacto move.
I could actually see Vinai doubling down in the summer.
The difference between Spurs and them, is that Arteta got backed. Like backed.
His first summer window (2020) they signed Partey, Gabrielle, Willian, and loaned Odegaard and Ceballos and it seems to ramp up year after year as their league finishes improve.
And they're only getting rid of deadwood along the way.

Okay this is the last time I'm going to explain.

What Frank said that he didn't know in that press conference clip posted on the X platform, is Romero had the most red cards out of all players in the entire Premier League since he signed for the club.

My point is, why should he be expected to know all that?

Of course he should be expected to know it. wtf? He’s the manager of the club and he should know the red card history of the man he made captain. You don’t think they consider disciplinary background before making such a decision? Evidently not. It’s a clown show.

Fraud is a bit strong.
We have, like so many teams in the history of football, just hired someone who isn't as good as the club thought he was.
Even Frank has probably been surprised at how short he's come up.
Frauds for me at the ones who blag their way from club to club blowing smoke up their own arses, bragging about their philosophy whilst ultimately getting sacked everywhere they go.

Did he hire him?

Sure I read it wasnt his hire, he just inherited him with a promotion

Could be mistaken

Might explain his lack of willingness to make a decision of any kind though

You’re probably right, I wasn’t going to say fraud. But regardless, he’s found the job too big for him. What is winding me up about him is stuff like not knowing how often Romero gets sent off, I mean he made him captain ffs. I mean that for me is fraudulent behaviour. He should definitely be across these details. We are fans and we know this info. He’s paid £8 million a year and he only manages twenty odd first team players and we aren’t talking about some academy kid. It’s the man he made captain.

Stuff like that, and then his awful communication and PR. Frank is going down as the worst spurs manager in history. He’s alongside Gross and Ange so it’s fraud territory. But I agree that where he isn’t a fraud is he clearly knows how to be a football manager and is viewed as technically proficient at it, even if he hasn’t displayed this at our club at all.

Ultimately yes he’s just been promoted way above his level. I hope he’s fired tonight and gets a good break. He needs it.
