I think it's the other parts of the job he's failed at. He isn't a competent SD.
If he was there purely to do young player ID he possibly has some value, but the rest of it he is pathetic. Including hiring and backing Frank to the end which may still lead to us being relegated.
There are also big question marks about some of his senior player recruitment.
