I don't see it being De Zerbi. Not the best pick if it was summer and we'd be sabotaging ourselves beyond the summer because there's no way he would accept anything less than a long term deal.

Unless Alonso has lost his mind and thinks we're a great project to join, it needs to be an explicit interim.

Until Enic go we will still be shit whoever they get in for a year or so. Sadly the new guy wins a few games & most of you go back to supporting & defending Enic or being on the fence over them. Accept mediocrity then that’s what you get & pay heavily for.

How many mangers that are attainable would you look at at think we'd stay up in the pl with?

Isn't that exactly what we need? Someone to finally hold these entitled, weak spine players accountable for being shit and hardly ever putting in a shift?
We need someone to not get us relegated atm

Then in the summer someone with a long term plan to clear this squad out same as Poch did when he joined

De zerbi will throw his toys out the pram and walk after the first summer dealing with these walkers

I'd take De Zerbi. At least he's modern and attacking. At Brighton the players loved him, I remember Lallana saying how unbelievable the guy was as a manager.

We need a bit of stability. Solid interim with some aspiration of passing the ball forward occasionally. In the summer we can reassess - main goal now is to (ugh) stay up.

As for Frank - seems like a nice guy but the results were terminal. I was in the 'give him time' camp until recently but with dire results and no obvious patterns of play the end was inevitable.

I just can't see an interim working like it has with Carrick at Utd. We don't have the same calibre of players available for a start and I can't see who is out there with the knowledge/respect that he has at Utd. You could cobble together a group of Harry/Sherwood/Defoe but there is no guarantee that will inspire us enough

So its a pickle isn't it? If we go big on Alonso/De Zerbi/Another then they need a decent contract and therefore we ain't taking Poch in the summer.
