The frustrating thing is that even if we sacked him as soon as after the West Ham loss a few weeks back we would have probably been able to go the interim route. I think an interim bounce would have beaten Burnley and at least drawn against Newcastle and the injury/suspension crisis wouldn’t even matter as much for the coming games.De Zerbi is an odd one. A prick and an oddball but with some talent. Would be either a total disaster and get us relegated or do really well and move us out of danger quite quickly but don’t know which.
The annoying thing is all appointments are risky, they are risky because we left it very late.
We waited until literally the worst possible time to move on.
