De Zerbi is an odd one. A prick and an oddball but with some talent. Would be either a total disaster and get us relegated or do really well and move us out of danger quite quickly but don’t know which.

The annoying thing is all appointments are risky, they are risky because we left it very late.
The frustrating thing is that even if we sacked him as soon as after the West Ham loss a few weeks back we would have probably been able to go the interim route. I think an interim bounce would have beaten Burnley and at least drawn against Newcastle and the injury/suspension crisis wouldn’t even matter as much for the coming games.

We waited until literally the worst possible time to move on.

It doesn't matter that he's a motivator.
It wouldn't matter if he fobbed off the CL.
He was sussed out at PL level quite quickly. The majority of teams learned how to defend against his attacks and how to exploit his defence.
We will go down if he comes back.
Mr Marinakis sussed it out ASAP.
Christ, could you imagine the carnage 8 games from now???

We'd be relegated already and probably down to 3 fit senior players.

If we'd sacked him after the West Ham game we might have beaten Burnley. We might not have had to start from 2 down Vs City. We might have had 11 V 11 Vs United. We might have given Newcastle a game.
If we go down this season then the board are actually more culpable than Frank or the players.

The absolute latest he should have gone, IMO, was when we got utterly tonked by fcuking Forest. Led by fucking Dyche.
This madness should have stopped there.

Ange is right. Even if he's probably making some shit up. The club doesn't back up their talk of ambition with their actions, at all. I hope a few interviews with ex managers could shake them up and lead to to some change, if we stay up.
Maybe he is right though those who have agendas are not shy in cherrypicking things said out of context by a former disgruntled employee.

It's not so much I don’t agree with what he said but more with regard to what people who watched it are quoting i.e. misquoting what he said. Things like "Not a big club" are pure clickbait and referred to wage structure a thing every Spurs fan is aware and critical of.

He also didn't diss Dom and actually confirmed he was keen on him coming in the reference was about kicking on and buying young potential x3 over established proven x0.

I do agree about the To Dare is To Do analogy being an antithesis of what those dickheads on the Board are overseeing atm but it does have the taste of sour grapes about it.

This is probably something that isn't exclusive to Spurs, Everton and United immediately spring to mind, but it is so apparent and almost brazen with our owners.

We didn't back Ange in summer 2024, because over 50% of the 23/24 season was fucking shit.
And that is, unfortunately, often the case with Spurs managers.

And still his mental fanbois would excuse him from any blame.
There has been a burner account posting recently... Talking absolute BS, defending Ange...

Claims to be a big time supporter but only posted 600 odd times in 14 years or something.

It's so blatantly obvious what the account is.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a shared account as well, between a group cunts, just trolling people for wum.

There really are some vile and nasty cunts on this forum.

Candrew?
Canfuckoff. NOT a spurs fan

Ange didn't talk down the stature of the club. He talked down the ambition of the owners and their unwillingness to match the stature of the club.

Ange is right. Our owners are shite
It’s nice to see how this is now all coming out, tbat many of us had been saying for years.
We were constantly told that this isn't the case and we were wrong.
I liked the bit about, dare is to do and yet, its the total opposite of that.
If the club are truly determined to be a genuine competitor then, you need genuine players to do that.
As he said he wanted player X,Y,Z instead , surprise surprise got 3 teenagers which doesn't allow you to compete.
Club needs to decide on what they want to be, a genuine competitor or a make weight in the league.
I think we know the answer.

You want to go back to an era of football that doesnt exist.

we arent spurs of 10 years ago.

People need to let go of this romanticism.
I’d still take Poch in a heartbeat but can he match/better what he did the last time? I really doubt it but if anyone can steady the ship and have a team playing attractive football …then it’s someone who plays attractive football who clearly loves the club and has always said he has “unfinished business” with spurs.

Reading this thread I think all the prospects as Manager have been criticised by someone. That is not unexpected as we all have different opinions. That will be the same at any club with the owners & those running the club having different opinions. We are in a very difficult situation. We must forget about the future and just concentrate on who will be the best candidate to keep us up. Once that is achieved we can look to the future. Fail and No top Manager will come including Poch, No top player will come whatever salary is on offer. If we fail to stay up then responsibility for keeping Frank too long and the failed transfer window with no goal scorers recruited & Johnson & Scarlett left which is down to Vinai & Lange and they should then go.

I really do not watch enough Non Spurs football to know who the best candidate is but any compromise now in the hope of getting Poch in late July is a massive risk.
