We still spent £400m or so under him.

I'm sure it's really easy to say he "wasn't supported", but that is near 4 times as much as he's spent on players in the rest of his career combined. Whether people want to point to circumstances or not, he turned a top 6 team + 400m into a bottom 4 team.
If I'm a Ferrari garage and I spend £400 million on Ford Focuses. All that proves Is I'm not in fact a Ferrari garage.

Around £370m It was spent on 12 first team players, if you prefer that calculation.
Average of £30m per player.

(an additional £40m+ was on a Tel loan fee, Veliz, Phillips, Min Hyeok, Solomon, Werner loan, Danso loan - none of which is included above)

No one should be adding 12 first team players to that tune and finishing 4th from bottom

Stop rewriting history.

It's pathetic. Levy was in charge, he made all the shots, he was the one that picked Ange, didn't support him, and who Ange ultimately worked under. ENIC had nothing to do with Ange or appointment.

Well maybe I am rewriting history and being pathetic.

I hope you popped down to the protests last year and told them the same.

I'm sure I saw footage of folk holding up banners while Levy was still at the club with ENIC OUT and/or LEVY OUT written on them, as if the two terms were interchangeable.

Dunno though maybe I got that wrong too.

Tell me the last marquee World class signing that Spurs made.

We used to make them all the time; Gascoigne, Klinsmann, Villa, Ardilles, Lineker.

I'm not talking about players we bought who went on to be World class but just name the last big WOW! signing. That wasn't done on the cheap.

Not stalking you man. Just have a nose for bullshit.

Told you that you’d be back with your utter bollocks. Cannot help yourself.

Look at the state of you on this thread. 😂

Says the bloke whose intent is to fight Postecoglou's corner until his life ends, even if it takes 30 years.

Don't know how you have the neck to criticise anyone else's posts after that statement.

Doubt he selected a single player from that 400m

That's more damning for the sporting director that bought these players than the manager in my opinion.

I think it would be fair to say during the ENIC era, in order;

Romero
Lloris (decent fee for a keeper but could be seen as 'cheap')
Defoe/Keane 20+ years ago I think might've been 'cheap' ish, but were both good signings for decent fees at the time.

Then you are looking outside ENIC to maybe call players like..

Ferdinand and the ones you listed - but it's hard to gauge now as we paid like 1mil for Lineker, 2mil Anderton, 3mil Sheringham.
5m for Gazza was definitely a proper big one but that was also nearly 40 years ago!

Why are you so obsessed with defending Levy and ENIC? Despite all of the evidence to the contrary.
Honestly mate it's such weird behaviour.

Why are you so obsessed with accusing people of defending ENIC when they aren't?

You know people with more than 1 brain cell can actually criticise one opinion without it automatically meaning they are defending a polar opposite thing

Ah that old chesnut. "It's not a real signing unless it's one from the history books". There is basically no such thing any more. People don't pick up the newspaper and say wow. Everyone is de-sensitised to all that.

Not really fighting for Postecoglu’s corner. I’m fighting against yours.

Good news for you is that I doubt I’ll last 30 years.

Keep up your VdV as manager shite and you’ll find out if I do or not. Might give one of my kids my password so i can haunt you from the grave.

wow , so many people upset about a few throw away comments from an Ex manager. The ENIC love is still strong with some.

The biggest thing he said was about the ridiculous changes of types of football manager they have employed, but we will ignore that because its evidentially true what a mess ENIC made of the managerial appointments.

Let pretend that he should have known that Levy /ENIC/VV or whoever had no intentions of trying to complete.

It looks like everything run at this club was run up to one Daniel Levy to decide on. All operation was tied to one center of decision-making. Once he left, there is now a huge vacuum impacting the whole structure (term used loosely).

Now seems everyone is running around trying to survive the season and stay up, then take a breath in the summer and try to sort things out (good luck with these buffoons).

What a shambolic state of affairs. I thought I was using the term "buffoons" for fun. They are buffoons.

Won us our first trophy in 17 years but I know you would prefer to hand that back... also blew off the league from March onwards... next manager spent another 250m didn't blow off the league and still left us in 16th which I know you count as progress... plus didn't win a trophy to continue a trend in his career...

There were people on here defending Levy and saying Ange was onboard with signing kids.

The timing of this really is damaging for ENIC.

Its time for them to go.
And that is a great point. So many times it was claimed Ange agreed with the purchase of kids and that nothing was done without Ange signing off on it. And while I accept we have to take Ange’s words at face value, it doesn’t seem to have been the case !

I was so annoyed and frustrated by Ange, and yet after all that has come to pass, I feel a need to recheck and make an allowance for him being more right than wrong.
