Yeah, ACL rupture at this point means he's missing most of next season too. So we'll have a guy on our hands to start the 2027 season who hasn't played football in 1.5 years and will be impossible to move.

Whilst of course I never want to see our players injured, this guy is below bang average.
Recently people having been talking about him 'coming into form a bit' or 'looking more of a threat'.. Bollocks.
Odobert to me represents what could've happened had we persevered with N'jie, N'koudou, Gil or whoever else you might add to that list. Players that clearly aren't good enough, just in Odobert's situation there's nobody ahead of him like those other players had.
Had he been in the squads those players were, he would've received similar minutes to what they had. Had those players been in this squad, they would've received similar minutes to Odobert and started to show tiny flashes of promise.. because right now we will clutch on to anything that's even remotely positive.
He shouldn't be at the club. He represents everything that's consistently wrong with our transfer strategies.

And he will certainly be earning more this month than you and I. So at least his downtime would not involve SSP or similar as it would do for the rest of us, unfortunately of course.
To be clear my judgement on the fella is nothing to do with his injury. It comes from the fact that his on pitch contributions have been a significant factor in our poor displays across far too many games. And I am pleased he cannot now be picked. As I think he’s not (yet) anywhere near the required levels.
Not as unlucky as us! we have to pay to watch them fuck about until they end up hobbling about.
