Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Nah unless he does really well then no chance. Poch back is the plan obviously.

Also all my money is on this appointment being a disaster and it to have a toxic conclusion before the season ends. Mason will get the last 3 or 4 games yet. It stinks of Stellini this!
No it doesn't... It's nothing like Stellini...

The club went for a manage who has a very good reputation across Europe saving clubs in a position like ours.

Fecking seriously, the shit people write.

It's a wonderful life.
Stuart Pearce in the summer then :frankstop:

I remember we played against his Marseille team in the Champions League in 2022 and it was one of the worst UCL games I'd ever seen. Sitting so deep, no ambition to attack at all. Really negative stuff.

Horncastle knows his stuff on Italian football. Not much here but if he shares his wisdom in the next few days it is worth a listen.

Analysis by James Horncastle

Igor Tudor has considerable experience as an interim. He came in at Lazio in March 2024 and qualified for the Europa League. He then replaced Thiago Motta at Juventus last spring and ensured they didn’t miss out on the Champions League.

Juventus kept him on as they underwent structural changes within the club. Damien Comolli, formerly of Tottenham, moved from general manager to chief executive at Juventus and then appointed a new executive team. Tudor was sacked in October. He remained on their books until a contract resolution freed him to pursue other opportunities in the New Year.

Tudor worked with Tottenham’s old co-sporting director Fabio Paratici while assistant to Andrea Pirlo at Juventus in the 2020-21 season. He knows Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from that time. He also worked with Randal Kolo Muani last season. Tudor will bring discipline to Tottenham.

It remains to be seen how this squad fits the 3-4-2-1 he has tended to play since deploying that system at Hellas Verona where he first stood out as a coach.
Excellent; the new coach knows Kulusevski and Bentancur from Juve. I’m sure that will work to our advantage; they’ll be able to discuss the fact that neither is available due to injury over a cold Peroni ….

That the Hojbjerg last minute winner one? In the other one they got a player sent off half way through and Rich scored a couple banging headers at the end. Can't remember at all how either team actually played.
We were very lucky in the away leg. Kane was very good that night (surprise surprise). Tudor was on the pitch when we broke away for the goal screaming at his players to get back

Ok. But surely winning games is?

Zero wins in the last EIGHT games for Tudor. Doesn't exactly bode well with already very low player confidence does it...
He did fine when he was an interim which is all he’ll be with us.

I don’t know what happened in those 8 games but it’s hardly reflective of his overall record, which is about what you’d expect to get for an interim in this situation.

But you’re calling for Redknapp who lost 5 games in a row for Birmingham last time….

That was in Conte's 2nd season when things started going wrong for us, too.
Beat them 2-0 at home and 1-2 away.
The away game was actually a cracker as it was the last group game and, at various points of that game we were in EVERY position in the group. Literally could have finished anywhere during that match.
