There's 8 massive games where we need to secure 3 wins and 2 draws minimum.

Fulham a
Palace h
Forest h
Sunderland a
Brighton h
Wolves a
Leeds h
Everton h

The players desperately need to find confidence and some kind of swagger soon.

From this moment on I'd play a midfield partnership of Palinha and Gallagher, Xavi in front of them, Kolo and Solanke up front and ensure that whenever our full backs push up to offer attacking options that Palinha slots back into a back 3.

A point a game needed on average. They need to replicate the attitude they had in the first 45 minutes yesterday and the confidence and crowd will eventually come back on side.
We need Maddison and Kudus back after the international break and Romero to stop being a dickhead - we could hopefully scrape what we need with that

Tudor in his post match press conference seemed to cool out the team for not being in the best physical shape or being mentally in the right place. Those are too very difficult things to switch now so late in the season and with such a small squad to play with.

Not sure how he has done that his previous clubs, but he might need to bring a few of the younger players in from the under 21s. Although I know that they are very young, maybe introducing a couple can just spark something as be more experienced players all seem to have checked out.
If you take out emotion and see it as a strategic problem (I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous) but maybe he's going to need to decide which games to strategically throw and put in our B team whatever that is to give the A team maximum advantage in the winnable games. It will involve throwing some of the youngsters to the lions - but who knows maybe we'll unearth a gem.

I'd say we can throw Liverpool away, Chelsea away and Villa away and concentrate on the remaining 8 games.

We're getting nothing from those three games anyway.

I quoted these two comments below because they example the reality

Shadydan I believe is saying very much how I see things. How often do we hear words along the lines of “ We are too good to go down “ ?

The league table doesn’t lie nor does the form guide and both of those two measures shouldn’t just be setting alarm bells ringing but somehow be the catalyst to change and I don’t just mean appointment of a caretaker manager ( or is he an interim) for what’s left of the season.
We talk about this season but the implication of the club going down is frightening on several levels.
Ok yesterday’s game wasn’t the sort of game you want as a must win game but you want to see something to suggest that there is hope and did anyone really get anything positive from that game ? I actually worry when games that are against teams also in that dog fight are because those clubs all have better form and apparently a better grasp of the predicament.

Turning to Brin Fatana’s comments I believe is exactly the sort of poster that is being referred to .

The players not being in the best of shape physical or mental shape annoys .Not because there won’t be an issue but because it’s pretty obvious that the players aren’t in the best of shape or the best of places but I suspect that with the pressure and number of games that are coming up there will be little time to give the players what probably is needed the most and that is a few days off. Please don’t take any solace in these sort of comments because all that’s happening here is the caretaker getting excuses out there because he can’t see a way out.
Stepping up training at this point will backfire and my guess lead to even more injuries and as for building up metal strength how on earth will introducing U21 and putting them in a relegation dog fight, a dog fight that very few of the experienced players will ever have faced, help ?
Every Spurs player is sh*t scared of making a mistake, the team for obvious reasons is totally unbalanced whereas the two teams that realistically Spurs have to worry about are far more balanced and experienced.
Finally in this rant the biggest distraction at this time is the CL. Players by and large see playing in the CL and certainly at this stage of the competition as being at the pinnacle . From keeper to striker these aren’t players who are at the top of the game but the worst part of all this is that some actually believe they are.

I find a lot of Spurs fans like this, living in delusion and not reality.

It seem like there's still a lot of people at this club not actually realising how much shit we are in or just turning a blind eye to it because they can't face up to the truth.

Been a fan for 40 years, but actually, if we get relegated and I stop watching, stop caring (because we aren't coming back from that, for a long, long time), then maybe my weekends and some mid-weeks will be better, happier, because this shit-show of a club won't make me miserable and subject me to regular embarrassment amongst friends. I literally would just walk away if we go down. If ENIC don't give a toss, then why should I??
You and I are very likely from the same era, given the time we have supported. Why we support / supported Spurs is for a sense of community, identity, and excitement from the shared experience. ENIC. It’s just moneymaking. Take comfort in the fact that the one thing they care about they are burning at an alarming rate. Good. Fuck them. I no longer care.

I like really Maddison but will he be enough? Was going down with Leicester too. Not the player for a relegation fight.
Maddison probably takes a while to get fitness back but his IQ and technical ability probably means he can come off the bench and change games straight away. Just don’t expect starts this season

Kudus in that second 10 with Xavi will be huge IMO. He will be fresh and raring to go like the start of the season

All of the games are important of course, but the Forest game is probably the single most important game we have.

Win, and that’s a 3 point cushion to one of those pushing us. Assuming they haven’t already caught us by then.

We'll survive and spend all summer trying to sign players out of our reach, leaving us in the same situation we find ourselves in this year.

The leaders at the club are as delusional as half our team.

We’re seeing the fruits of our lack of ambition in previous years , game changing players are not interested in our “ plans” anymore. We offered Semenyo more wages than City . Even with the shiny new stadium we are not an attractive option .

How long ago was it when we heard levy tell us that “ they took their eye off the ball regarding the footballing side”? Since then the squad has got worse. They’ve brought this whole mess on the club through no planning , incompetence & prioritising anything but the team

That we where competitive first half and the seem to drift away second does suggest the fittest of the players is questionable. It was a huge issue with Jose’s teams, at Chelsea his teams would be among the fittest in the league but he never updated so by the time he came to United and us his fitness methods where behind the times.

Igor brought a fitness coach and I think he will have his work cut out. The Frank sit deep and boot it way is a lot less taxing than pressing.

It's grim.

The next 3 games are crucial. If West Ham close the gap from 4 to less I will be very worried.

We really do need at a minimum 2 points, preferably 4 or 6. We ain't getting 9.

Get 2 wins away from West Ham and the pressure might be too much for them.

I don't think that'll work. We're just going to have to rely on a skeleton squad

We've got Fulham away and West Ham have Liverpool away.

We have to scrap every ball, every on field battle to carve out a point in that one with the hope/ expectation that they don't get anything up at Anfield.

The real big one for me is Palace at home. It's such a crucial game to help turn our home forms tide. That game is played one day after West Ham play Fulham away.

Their next 2 games after that are City at home and Villa away.

Got to open up a 6-8 point gap over West Ham during this spell. They've got a brutal March whilst we have a couple of far more favourable looking games than them on paper.

March is a massive, massive month for us when you look at our fixtures, West Hams and Forests. The biggest month left of the season for me.

Agree, that's why I'm somewhat think we'll just about survive by a handful of points.

Lots of home games against bottom half teams at the tail end , and the injection of Kudus, bergvall, porro, richarlison, Romero/Danso should probably give us just enough to scrape it

Agreed.

You wrote West Ham. Must have meant a different team.

I do think 6 points, plus a better goal difference will seal safety.

You do realise relegation will absolutely fuck us don't you?
I don't care anymore. Staying in the loop of being embarrassed in the prem every season where all the refs hate us and Woolwich and Chelsea beat us every year home and away is just shit. Every time we are on TV, I just know the ref is going to make one big call against us and none of the pundits ever stick up for us. Its just horrible supporting us in the prem! Especially when we only show up for Man City ( who I practically support in the league most years now!!!).

Life would be so much easier and stress free in the championship. We'd be winning games every week. Scoring 4 or 5 at home. Mikey Moore would be tearing it up! The vibes would be back. This loop of being shit in the prem every season, always been embarrassed by our rivals and flirting with relegation is just not fun.

If we got relegated then we could sell this stupid stadium to the NFL and sack every member of the board. Become a football club again!
