Media Media Bias

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm surprised TalkShite don't sponsor Spurs.... We've given them enough fucking business recently!

They're proper on the wind up now ..

They say we need a top manager, then laugh at us and rule out any top managers when they're mentioned as potential candidates!

Pricks.

Get Arteta in and watch the meltdown!

I know it’s not media bias but I’ve had an irrational hatred for years towards us being the only team that are listed by our nickname (I know I some would says Spurs isn’t our nickname lilywhites is) on the BBC league table. I know it’s no big deal but it’s not like it’s got Hammers, Magpies etc. It should say Tottenham.

There I’ve said, finally got it off my chest rather than just telling my wife every time I see it.

Surprisingly she was never interested anyway

The club asked all media not to call us Tottenham. They wrote to all media and sId they should be referred as Tottenham Hotspur or Spurs, not after an area of London

The Gabriel foul was whitewashed out of the post match incidents shown on Sky, as was Muani's wrongly disallowed goal.

Can't bring myself to watch motd but I guess they'll dismiss it as not important if it's even mentioned at all.

Neville is a cunt, but he is just a cog in a huge machine..
...but we all know if it was Romero doing EITHER of those things (the foul AND the dive) not ONLY would he be chastised for it by the media and booked/sent off... He HAS been chastised for it and sent off!

How can we ever shake off this bias? If it ain't Romero it would be someone else they'll manufacture into a reckless killer.

Then the other bias where a 2 handed shove by Etikite that is a foul isn't given but Gabriel's ridiculous dive is deemed a foul. What the hell is that?
Is Muani a Kung Fu master? So his tiny touch is actually a brutal life threatening impact?!

It's so blatant, it is now like watching WWE for me. Soon as you see the dive, you know as a Tottenham fan it's 100% they will not give us the goal. It's just sickening.

It's not covering up how crap we are, but goals are literally the only thing that matters right now, I don't like people saying it's not important. They may have got jittery, already they'd made mistakes and the stadium would have been electric at 2-2. None of us knows what could have happened after, maybe we spawn our way to a draw or even nick it... Or God himself steps down to score a couple and forces the officials to give them to his favorite son Eze, the ratcunt. My point is we shouldn't have been robbed of finding out!

Incidentally, I looked back on some of the game, and noticed that Neville commented on how long it took Xavi Simons to take a corner close to half time... So I went back and timed just HOW long it took, from the ball leaving the field of play until Xavi took the corner - 'cos I'm a petulant cunt like that - and it was precisely 41 secs.
However after 30 seconds, Neville chose to point out how long it was taking....
Ok, fair enough, it took 41 seconds.

So I remembered Rice had taken a corner for them just before this...

so I wound it back and got my little stopwatch out - as I say, I'm a petulant cunt like that - and, lo and behold, it was 45 seconds from the moment the ball left the pitch, to the moment that floppy haired goat-eyed cunt took it!

4 seconds more, I know it's not much, or at best, the same time (give or take) as we took moments later.... as well that, Neville did not make one single mention of how long it took!

He also did it with a Dragusin throw-in, saying it would inevitably take 30-40 seconds as we were deliberately slowing the game down now (it took 32 seconds btw) knowing full well that to portray US as time wasting paints a picture...
He talks as if we're only trying to time waste and win petty fouls and break up play that way, calling it "cute" and yet moments later, the blatant Gabriel body check on Muani clean through, he acknowledged that Woolwich were lucky.... so where was the 'cute' free kick we won there?'!! It wasn't given, cos it's RARELY given... Yet when they do it, it's game management!

It's a small detail, but it's there.... A clear and obvious bias towards the way WE do things, and the way THEY do... and it's fucking annoying!

I think you have a point regarding Neville's bullshit.

However;

You may need a new hobby. Get rid of the stop watch brother.

I try to tune the cunt out really but he talks so much shite it makes your ears perk up because it sounds so wrong. Good spot on the timings, I can't bring myself to go back and do analysis.

They mentioned something on TFC pod which I noticed myself and was muttering about it while watching the match.
Sky put up a stat saying we'd only had 1 touch in their box. But Muani had 3 for his goal. So obviously they were bullshitting.

It ties in with the things you noticed, its designed to make us hate our team more, and for others to do the same. Making us look worse... It's very twisted. Manipulation is rife it seems, I'm going to keep my eyes open for more of that in future. If they did our stats down maybe they inflate the other teams too 🤔

Sky will regret it if we go down as I am sure they get more viewers when we are on rather than say Middlesboro. I certainly will not be watching PL matches if we are not in it.

It feels like a LOT of fans are falling out of love with the whole PL circus... with it's over saturated, microscopic coverage, clear bias towards the privileged, favoured few, and if course the VARce that is the shocking technology ruining any remaining semblance of joy and spontenauty left in the game....
The Arse & City are welcome to it!

It's no coincidence that many fans are hankering back to the 'good old days' and seeking out lower League games to go to and EXPERIENCE... maybe we can kill two birds with one stone... Experience the lower League whilst STILL supporting Spurs!!

Yes, Financially we'll suffer, but that's ENIC's problem.... But as a life lesson in humility, maybe the reality check of the Championship isn't the worst case scenario!!

...just for a season, then I want back in the BIG TIME.... WHERE ALL THE MONEYS AT!

I went to Reading v Wycombe the other weekend and the football was pretty good. I actually think they both would possibly turn our current team over. Some contentious decisions but it was better without VAR ruining things. I think VAR is a massive problem btw and is a huge part of top level football being ruined.

Most importantly it was actually fun. Felt less pressure and the fans all looked to be enjoying themselves even if the stadium wasnt full.

I dont want us to get relegated but it isnt exactly the end of the world from a match going fan's perspective because the games might actually be enjoyable and the trips to the stadium not feel so mundane.
