I think we really DO need to call it out in public....

We all KNOW why the Media, and what feels like the whole of football seemingly hate us..... It's been there for decades...
The hatred runs deep, and the reason is one no one wants to admit, but feels/fears it deep down.

...and it's all OUR fault apparently!
 
As someone who was in the away end at Fulham I didn't hear the commentary but I absolutely knew exactly what they all would have been saying

Oh this one isn't a foul
It's different
Dragusin went down too easily
It's not comparable to last week
The referees were right

One of the biggest bonuses of going to the games is being able to watch without that nonsense in your ears throughout
 
I kinda get it. We are playing into the narrative of "lets just all laugh at spurs". It makes everyone else feel better.

Claim we are a big 6 team so that all the other big 6 teams feel better because "hey atleast we win more than spurs". But also all the other teams can use us as a team to compare themselves too and be like "we should be in the top 6 instead of spurs."

We are always going to feel like victims in this scenario. It suits everyone else when we are doing badly. It just makes everyone else feel better so I get it. I'm not going to complain about it. We just need to focus on ourselves and not care about the media.

Where the issue arises for me is that this bias has clearly crept into the PGMOL and the referees where it easy to give a big decision against Spurs. There will be no media backlash and its just spurs so who cares, while its less appealing to give spurs a big decision. We've seen this all season. There seems to be this gaining momentum around our situation where we could somehow get relegated and no referee wants to be the one who swings the momentum back our way. This is the issue I have. I've no big problem with the media, pundits and commentators hoping we lose, its the fact that this bias has now crept into the PGMOL. Thats the big issue and we have become victims of what now looks like a witch hunt.

I truly do not understand where this comes from.

The Sky Sports shows have been nothing but Neville and Keane moaning on about how shite United are for a decade!

The pundits loved us when we were good and showered praise on Kane and Son and Poch.

The last 6 or so years, especially the last 18 months, what are they supposed to say? Are they saying anything different than we are?

Yeah if United were in our position there would be 1000x the articles and coverage.

Media only want clicks and we happen to give clicks at a much higher rate than most of the league but I would wager it would be worse for any of the other big 6 clubs if they were in our position.
