The pundits and media were constantly harping on about kane, son etc. leaving for bigger clubs and esp Poch. It was like a campaign to weaken us at our strength
That's exactly how I feel the narrative goes...
When we were good .. yes the Media harp on about us, and Poch... but only insomuch as to effectively tout our players & Poch off to do called 'biggererer' clubs....
See the Kane >> Man City storyline that we ruined, so they took it out on us saying how mean we were to try and stop our greatest ever player from getting his "dream move" away from Spurs....
Fast forward a few years to when we HAVE sold him, and we get told how small time we are for selling our best ever player!
....and obviously now we're shit, they all love a pile-on!!

If any other Big 6 club with similar resources to us was in our position the media attention and piss taking across the board would be FAR worse.

No one can see where the next draw is coming from let alone the next win. There is absolute zero reason to have any semblance of a positive piece about us.
The way it's going we could lose eight PL games in a row and not even the awful Derby team of 07/08 did that.
It's horrible to look at and I've tried to avoid all things football apart from this forum, but we are the car crash everyone is rubber necking to look at.
