We need to stop persisting with him at left wing back, the balance of the team is all wrong.

Sousa might be inexperienced and young, but anyone with a left foot and a bit of running ability will offer more.

There is an ongoing delusion within some of our fanbase. It seemed to start around the time Winks was being called the new Iniesta and Marcus Edward’s was the next Messi. I was losing my shit over it then, but it seems to have just spread throughout our fanbase. Certain online dipshits haven’t helped the cause either.
I find you get a much more accurate rating of our players reading what fans from other clubs think of them. They’re usually far more realistic.
 
He’s been woeful since his England call up and the Djeditentiary bollocks he was posting.

I think he has the ability to do well, but not the application or mentality. I don’t like Warnock, but I think he was probably bang on with his assessment of Spence unfortunately.

I mentioned it that time since his called up he had been nothing but dropping his standards and becoming inconsistent. Sad players couldn't appreciate such milestone to improve themselves.

That call up was the ideal time for him to up his game to the next level. For him to believe he had a chance to cement his place, not only in the world cup squad, but in the first team. Instead, he posted a couple of memes, which most on here thought were superb, and turned in dogshit performance after dogshit performance.

Presently as close to a World Cup call up as I am.

We do this all the time though. Players are either world beaters or wastes of space. After City, Simons was the second coming because he played a pass with the outside of his foot. Now he’s a wastrel. VDV is now the first name on the transfer list because he’d may or may not have ignored the manager. A couple of weeks ago, he just absolutely had to replace Romero as captain. We are a fickle bunch.
 
Spence could be a useful backup on the right, but he's out of place starting on the left. It would be risky to throw Souza in already but it might be necessary.

Spence and VDV have HUGE attitude problems they are disrespectful and have been unprofessional towards our former and current managers, certain things should always remain behind closed doors.

VDV thinks he is to good for us, and maybe he is right, but we pay your wages you &^%£ so pull your socks up, stop sulking and fight and do as your manager tells you !

No manager in the world could cope with our constant injuries and this over entitled squad.

Fucjing sick of the lot of them.

Trouble is they still get paid even if they sit on their arse the whole game

There is so much to unpack with our fanbase, very little of it coherent.

If a player starts well for 4 or 5 games, bulletproof legend until he truly fucks up. Bentacur and Kulusevski were treated like Xavi and Iniesta rather that the more realistic Chuckle brothers ( the to me, to you is truly appropriate too). Hojberg, Porro etc, or if they played for a big team like Palinha, Tel and Moana.

Bentancur and Kulu were enough, to make a team containing Kane, Son and Perisic, look good enough for the Champions League.

Without Kane, Son and Perisic the result is what we are now seeing.

No top quality in this team.
