So everything that has been said in the newspapers, interviews, etc etc has been a lie for 24 years... Levy actually had very little say and didn't do much, It was ENIC (Joe Lewis) that sold Berbatov and Keane, and hired Fraiser Cambell and Pavlyachenko as replacement..?

It was all ENIC was it?

End every Spurs criticism of ENIC over the last 20 odd years, was that they didn't care about the clubs enough...

But it's snot naive is it? It what happened for the last 20 odd years.

As I've just said, they had very little input into the running of club, they probably had none on the football side.

Levy ran that club like it was his pet project, and it's the footballing side that is the issue at the club, the side where Levy basically had full control, along with that bitch Donna, who also got the chop, before the summer window.

until the Lewis kids sacked him and told him to fuck off, not even letting him go get his stuff from the office..

And you’re basing this on what you’ve read in the newspapers and other media sources? Unless you’re close to the board room it’s all guesswork.

Millionaires don’t become millionaires by handing over the keys to their multi-million pound assets and saying ‘You deal with this, I’m not interested!’

Even if they really did totally hand off all decision making and totally ignored everything that happened they still own the club and they're ultimately responsible. Full stop. That they weren't interested enough to step in sooner isn't some sort of defence that he thinks it is.
 
When you have Spurs fans saying you're doing too much blaming Levy for everything, that's how you know you've gone too far, LDS is mental :D

For years I thought you were exaggerating in saying there were actual Levy fans. But his sacking proved they really do exist. Incredible really.

Having spent 30 years in finance across several different business areas, I find it hard to believe that the ownership weren’t heavily involved in what happened at THFC. Day to day operations would have no doubt been down to Levy, but in my personal experience I’ve not known any millionaire owner who hasn’t wanted to know in great detail what the strategic plans for the business were, and once they were set, be regularly reported to on progress.

Again, I really don't think torturing the extremely well-known facts beyond all logic and rationality is necessary to be appropriately critical of the Lewis kids, Charrington, Vinai, etc.

And what little we've been able to glean about the new power structure seems to me to indicate that "this lot never spent a day of their lives focused on running a football club and have little understanding, even among one another, about what the plan is" has more truth and explanatory power than "the Lewis heirs, twirling a fake mustache, held a gun to Daniel Levy's head in 2012 as he begged them to give him permission to sign Carlos Tevez and Gary Cahill instead of Louis Saha and Ryan Nelsen".

I understand the desire to maintain continuity of outrage with "it was ENIC all along", but an adjustment to reality need not come with some foolish call for "patience" or any such nonsense.

Where have these ‘well known facts’ been gleaned from? The sport pages of the newspapers or some ITK? Unless you’re close to the board room it’s all hearsay and guesswork.

You have me all wrong there’s no outrage here.

What I’m saying is, I highly doubt the Lewis’ were totally uninvolved in the business.

Levy became a father figure for a lot of our fanbase

They were swayed by the Levy time and you got levy'ed meme bullshit and grew a deep emotional connection to the man

That much is plain to see

I think he even became a bit of a sex symbol for many of them too
