No you don't!

Really, it's embarrassing.
I don't think Ange made a good Premier League manager, but I think a third season would settled the question of whether his system was workable or not."and, this season, we can't even scrape a draw if he's not there - then you're just not accepting the evidence."
There you go playing dumb again. By saying "we can't even scrape a draw" that insinuates we can't even draw let alone win. If you meant it the way you are now stating you would have written "we don't draw when Romero doesn't play".
Now... obviously this season has been particularly tough for you as you spent all last season insisting that all our ills in the league were the fault of Ange Postecoglou.
Again actually not true if I am being as pedantic as you. I also blamed poor referring decisions and Injuries so insisting all our ills was due to him is false.
Also, you are on the record as declaring Thomas Frank your first and best choice to replace Ange Postecoglou
Factually true until Ange won the Europa. I then stated I would have Xavi over Frank and I would even keep Ange for another season over Frank. I stated we need to replace him with someone that has won something otherwise there is no point replacing him at all as the players won't buy into someone that hasn't won.
You have to get your facts right before deciding to change the topic matter mate otherwise you look silly.
Oh... I thought were you interested in addressing the actual argument. But you're still only interested in quibbling about what the data I use signifies.
I accept it's very raw and blunt data - but it's still instructive. If you want to use different data be my guest. If you want to convince me I'm wrong I' m desperate to hear it.
If you don't - then just move on.
At least contribute something.
I cant convince you youre wrong - you have made up your mind that your 'data' is facts - my aim here is to ensure others dont see it as such.
I have shown you that youre wrong already this season.
I named 3 players who have played in every win - 2 of which Romero was not involved in - and none of those 3 has let the team down by being sent off twice and out themselves in a position that may very well miss more games because of poor tackling
How you can think that he is the most important person in the team right now based on those simple things makes zero sense.

You can... its called the ignore button. Try it.I wish I had the power to just bin all of you for this pointless arguing back and forth.

So talented Juve didn't even give one 1 single game!Romero is a contradiction. He's our best CB and, at times, the worst. You can't be any team's best if you aren't on the pitch. Obviously a very talented player and probably not a bad sort, but he's not likely to ever make the changes he needs to live up to his potential. The worst of it is, I doubt he cares.
I can't believe you tried to lecture me about how data works then claim a tiny subset of this season alone is somehow proof.
That is not how data works.
You're such a disappointment. Just another bad faith interlocutor incapable of having an actual discussion and debate using evidence. You're not interested in discussion. You just don't like Romero - you mistakenly think I do - so this whole exercise is pointless. You have zero value to add to this conversation. You're just a slightly more mature version ofspursfan76 .
Enjoy your day.
Nawty

He just laughed at the idea of Romero being a winner and leader because he happened to have played with Messi and Martinez. Brilliant.Bad Friedal ripping into him yesterday on Talksport saying he isnt the kind of character you want at the club.
He seemed to be coming across as a bit ITK with his comments.
Me too.I do like Romero - I haven't advocated for selling him - I am just annoyed that he puts us in a negative position through otherwise avoidable actions.
For me, Maddison is our most important individual player as he inspires the entire team around him to go up a level more than anyone else I see.
Whats true is that with our first choice defenders, all of them, we appear to be somewhat more balanced defensively, but I see no evidence, when watching, that any one of them drags up the quality of the other 3 or the DM in front of them
I dont see Romero organising, getting Porro - the defender on his side - to be more positionally aware - cant count how many goals we have conceded from the opposition on the right side of the pitch, from crosses or ranged shots.
Maybe the bar is so low that Romero stands out for you - or maybe you just like a hard tackle - i dunno - but im not seeing what youre seeing and your data doesnt back it up.
Please stop lying.Me too.
Maddison is dead.
And even though I agree with you that he's important, even if he wasn't dead, he's just as inconsistent, if not more so, than Romero.
Agree.
All that stands out for me is that when he plays we win more. When he doesn't play, we win less.
That's true for both the eye test (subjective) and is backed up by the stats (objective).
That's literally all I've been saying.![]()
Please stop lying.
In the league we're winning at a higher rate without Romero than with him. Just look at the numbers from this PL season. If Romero didn't play, we would be out of trouble, given that our win % has been so much higher this season without him.
You're still a liar. So absolutely noone should listen to your so called "data". You are not able to even do basic maths. You also have no basic understanding of statistics as a lot of posters have already pointed out. Sample size etc. So go on...There are amoeba living deep within the festering, rancid, remains of curry inspired shart I did several months ago whose opinion on this matter I would listen to before yours.
But thanks for sharing.
