Did Ange not have a similar league record wins wise? At least he had Maddison, Kulu and Solanke (who should never be a spurs first choice 9 imo) fit most of the season.I mean that's one of the takes of all time.
Obviously with every bad result the predecessor looks a teeeny bit better but Frank literally had us on 2 league wins in 17 and we looked utterly fucked under him.
Even if we do go down I don't think "I told you all! We should've kept Frank!" is gonna be the gotcha you think it is.
If anything it implies we needed to get rid of Frank sooner to stop the rot.
You’re kidding are you,Ange had worse injuries than frank,at one stage had Forster in goal and Archie gray at centre back, had no Romero or van de ven for a lot of the year plus others, frank had a decent squad for the first 15 games or soDid Ange not have a similar league record wins wise? With the other injury problems we’ve had on top of that and total inactivity and blasé nature of the new board during the January window who would’ve fixed the situation if Frank was sacked in October? Even with a fully fit squad (which Frank was never close to having) where would you expect us to finish? It’s a midtable squad at best fully fit. Watched the Chelsea-Woolwich game. Both have players on the bench that would be important first team players for us. Sickening. Our only transfer is the modern Jordan Henderson and it’s all good.
I think we're on the same PPG as last year. Just don't have the fortune of three historically bad teams being promoted at the same time.Did Ange not have a similar league record wins wise? I'm absolutely hoping we lose to Atleti. A very needless distraction.

Ok you might be onto something with that one. Although I do think early-mid season Frank was causing us problems. We actually had a largely fit squad back then and we were still looking uber-wank.I don’t think it was “we shoulda kept Frank” but more like “it’s not Frank that’s our biggest problem.”
I reckon I overrated our squad at the beginning of the season, but I think tons of managers could comfortably get this squad to mid-table at the very least. Although with all the injuries, European football and wonky signings maybe lower-mid table is more likelyDid Ange not have a similar league record wins wise? By no means did I enjoy the football. He had no Kulu, Maddison, Solanke for his entire tenure. We qualified top 8 in CL with far harder fixtures than the likes of Qarabag, ferencvaros etcFrank is a football terrorist. He sucked the life out of the players, too many windmills, supertankers, long throws and obsessing over the opposition.
In fact he'd be like a cheerleader for the opposition all the while pissing on us, yet gaslighting and saying how hard we were working and lots of positives here.
He should be arrested along with ENIC, Vinai and Lange.
I have never hated a manager more than Frank.
Under him we've been firmly planted in this relegation 'fight'. Hopefully Tudor can repot us and provide some nutrients, but his job is beyond huge, it's going to be a miracle given the state of what he has walked into.
I was pro Frank, and he was a lot more defensive than I thought he’d be. At the same time his only January arrival is Gallagher. Bit of a pisstake no? It’s been mentioned before the attacking players Frank left at Brentford are better than ours. I’m sure he was expecting way more in the summer and other players in January too. He had Maddison and Kulu out for the season and zero replacement allowed.I reckon I overrated our squad at the beginning of the season, but I think tons of managers could comfortably get this squad to mid-table at the very least. My pre-season prediction was 8th and I reckon a good manager could've got us there if they'd not been hit by this insane injury crisis. The squad has issues but is it really worse than the likes of Everton, Sunderland etc? I don't think so.
Also some of the signings (Palhinha especially but also maybe Gallagher) were clearly for Frank. I think most managers don't look at our squad and make their priority signing a no.6 that can't pass - making him our midfield target has really hurt us imo. A better manager improves us by also requesting more progressive signings that actually make sense.
I genuinely reckon Frank was pretty happy with the squad and didn't want the board to make panic signings in Jan as he was deluded and thought he was just starting a long term project and relegation wasn't a serious concern. He said as much in every presser "we need to sign the right players not any players" etc.By no means did I enjoy the football. He had no Kulu, Maddison, Solanke for his entire tenure. In all honesty Frank’s tenure is the same as the Labour Party. Had a one off chance to really change things and stamp your authority on the big issues.

From Frank’s point of view, yes he’s taken on this big job at spurs. He’s got absolutely stitched up in the two windows he’s had. Allowed to sign Kudus (club signing) Palinha on loan and Gallagher? As first team players.
I’d be absolutely raging, wasn’t allow to stamp his mark on the club and got told to get on with it.
We took 13 points from the 8 games directly after the 8 CL group games. I’ll fucking take that points return in the final 10, wouldn’t you?How many games did we win after a CL win this season? And what happens if one of our better players gets an injury that keeps them out of the running?
I'll tell you the answer to the first question, we won a whopping 1 game after the 5 victories. 20%.
Tell me again about momentum.
At least we didn't panic buy in January, we'll always have that we didn't panic buy in January![]()

No way he was happy with summer signings. Left a cushty job at Brentford and allowed a couple signings? You’d want 5 or 6 of your players in. He loved Palhinha and Kudus - reckon those 2 were ones he specifically wanted.
I bet his grubby mitts were all over the Gallagher signing too.
Don’t want to nitpick but I’m not really sure that we were unlucky to miss out on CL qualification at the end of Ange’s first season. He had almost a fully fit squad for the last 7 matches and we got 6 points by beating relegated Burnley and Sheffield United. When we played anyone of any substance during this period we were feebly beaten so the frailties and Ange’s limitations were already showing.Setting aside season 1 when he finished 5th, unlucky to miss out on Champions League football at the end of the 2023/24 season, finishing fifth with 66 points; the same tally, and position, that Newcastle United have got in 2024/25,
Spurs began 2024/25 well, and by the time they beat Manchester City 4-0 on 23 November Postecoglou’s side were on 19 points from 12 matches, just three points short of third place.
But then the injuries struck.
By the end of the campaign only Brighton & Hove Albion ranked above Spurs for number of injuries and total days lost. Nobody missed anywhere near as many first-choice players as Spurs.
As Postecoglou said of the endless problems, “Every time I've seen the light at the end of the tunnel, it's usually been an oncoming train.”
The point being Frank seems to get the sympathy of injuries that Postecoglou doesn't
