He could've pushed for different profiles but he was happy with Palhinha and Gallagher - these were guys he signed off and was fine with. He personally requested Palhinha once Woolwich got Norgaard.
Like, by big club standards it obviously hasn't been great, but by Spurs standards I'd say Frank has done alight in terms of outlay. We've fucked over other managers far worse. And as I said, I reckon him and Lange were both on the same page re:Jan signings and didn't want to 'panic'.

Xavi was at least fourth choice due to Levy’s bungled negotiations - agree with a lot of what you say but we just don’t know who he wanted and who he got

Yeah that's fair. But even that was widely seen as a coup at the time - most people didn't think we had a chance of getting Xavi early in the window as he waving his arse at Chelsea.
We clearly misjudged the MGW thing but it's turned out he was never a viable option cos of the mental Forest chairman, while other options like Paz were never coming here. I think the only signing we truly bungled was Eze - if we'd gone hard and early for him I think we get that deal over the line. Seems like the Havertz injury made Woolwich move.

I told you that if you knew anything about gambling and you thought Opta was correct, you’d be laying us to go do down and backing West Ham. Have you put a few quid on it? Are you going to look to exploit the gap between Opta and the betting markets on a long term basis? - you should at least trial it using dummy stakes.
Of course the gambling prices aren’t gospel and that’s how someone like Tony Bloom makes his money by taking advantage of the inefficiencies. But in a developed relegation market where there is no insider knowledge/manipulation, you’re not going to have the Betfair Exchange price (which isn’t a bookmaker) at 3/1 if the true price (according to your heroes at Opta) is actually 12/1.

I think our performances has given teams below us the motivation to know that it’s possible to stay up.
I was responding to the guy that said winning breeds confidence, so our CL wins mean more. But my argument is that this team doesn't build momentum, as evidence by the one domestic win after we've played in Europe.
And you just know that Fulham are waiting to roll over for them.
The only thing about tonight is if we win we drag Leeds into it and have 3 teams between us and the drop zone. It’s a big ask but let’s see if these players actually want to fight.
