Crocodiles aren't very fast btw. 😉
Nerd GIF

Top Speeds: The fastest, such as the Cuban crocodile, can reach up to 15–22 mph (24–35 km/h) in short bursts.

Pretty quick

Yeah but not out-runnable though and it's short burst, which are very short.
Plus the bigger, and more dangerous they are, the slower they tend to be.
They are ambush predators and the initial launch from the water is where they really pose a danger, on land they're pretty useless really.

The short burst of 35kmh is faster than I can run, and fast enough that a long burst from the croc wouldn’t be required

They aren't very mobile though and honestly, as long as you avoid that initial lunge out of the water, you shouldn't have trouble keeping away from one.
Maybe a leopard or bear would have been a better analogy?

Anyhoo, I fear that I may have taken this thread wildly off topic, so...erm...Spurs eh? Whatchagonnado?
😁🤣

We’d need a good side to come back up. The championship wouldn’t be easy. I’ve seen people post teams filled with our youth players after selling everyone. That would get relegated again. The whole point of being frugal with our finances should be that we could keep players we wanted in this situation surely, otherwise what was the point.

Yep. The best way to ensure we come straight back up is to keep our best players. Get rid of the ones who are causing any attitude issues, weed them out, it should be obvious to know who they are from the clubs perspective.

Then build around Bergval, Gray, Kudus, Tel, Simons.

We have the nuclues of a more than good enough side, with maybe Poch as our manager.

The thing that really worries me about getting relegated, is we are never a consistent league side, and I could see us failing to do well consistently in that league, and eventually being in the wilderness for years and years.

Can anyone see us going down and then suddently winning every week in the Championship? I can't. We always struggle against championship teams even as a PL side.

And this weekend has already seen Southampton beat Fulham, Sunderland just lost to Port Vale and both Mansfield and Wrexham put on valiant fights against teams we're usually rubbish against.

We'll get slaughtered in the Championship with our current gutless bunch.

Yep exactly. It could well spend the end of us as a big PL club for a very long time. We don't exactly have a resilient, together, hard working, professional squad.

For us to come back up we'd have to get the next manager appointment, signings and new Sporting Director appointment all spot on.

Plus get rid of Vinai and Lange.

A big ask.

Zig zag... Wide turning circle

Scoring goals from limited chances, working hard to get on the end of hoofs forward,

Need that in a relegation battle

Absolutely true.

But try as I might, I cannot imagine what must go through big Doms head when he gets the team news and learns that the worst and most useless attacking player (or Black Werner as I suggest to call him on from now) in the clubs recent history still starts ahead of him (like on Tuesday) ?!?

Dom came out of long injury pause and has scored 6 goals with 759 minutes for struggling side.
Goal for every 126 minutes on field is absolutely amazing and does not get enough praise in my view.
