I know the Spurs paycheck is good, emotional connection with the fans, great stadium and training facilities etc, but Poch knows better than anyone that ENIC won't back him even if he somehow got us in contention for big things. They let him short last time, they'll do so again. Why would he wanna go through that once more, knowing full well how it'll end within 18 or so months.

As Luther once said, ‘If loving you is wrong, I don’t wanna be right.’

You sang that didn’t you? 😄

How do you know?

This pure speculation and projection

The Lewis kids are not Joe. They sacked Levy for not being good enough.

They have had one Jan window, and people are being pathetic crying babies.

We will just have to wait and see.

Gold saying Poch linked to a move to Real Madrid in the summer...

Then followed up with, going to be linked to lots of teams.

I think he still comes to us though.
Poch has been in full on twerk mode towards us for the last few years and especially so in the recent High Performance interview, so I’m confident he’d choose us over Madrid anyway. Being back in London with his family is just another reason.

I think his time at PSG has probably also tempered his appetite to manage another club full of egos and prima donnas that wouldn’t be prepared to put in a shift.

One January window, in which we've been decimated by injuries, won twice at home all season and are hurtling towards relegation, and only bought one senior player, after selling one senior player..sterling work Enic...👍
Yeah, let's bloat the squad even more for a manager that had no future with us.

Seeing as the plan was to just see out the season.

And Frank still had a good starting 11, he just made insane starting 11's

[Looks at the Spurs squad]

I don't know my dude, that concerns me very greatly about this squad.
Yep, I know what you mean, but hopefully he’d have carte blanche to weed out the bad apples as he did at the start of his first tenure.

First time around he was quite ruthless when anyone challenged his authority eg Andros Townsend kicking off during the warm down.

Dealing with Galacticos like Mbappe is a very different prospect than a jumped up herbert like Spence.

Speaking as a USMNT fan, everybody always knew Poch was here for WC 2026 and would seek a club job thereafter. I don't think there would be any controversy at all if it became public knowledge that Poch was heading to Spurs after the WC.

Now, Poch himself might feel differently about wanting to keep his focus on his current job. But it wouldn't be a Jacques Santini situation

I am sure it would raise some hackles about the team's performance if they don't fare well, but I doubt one would be able to say he weren't focused on the job during the cup.

And if the US doesn't make knockout stages he'd be available by the end of June, so the timeline suits
