Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

On 16 May 2018, Hütter was confirmed to be Eintracht Frankfurt's new head coach for the 2018–19 season, succeeding Niko Kovač.He signed a three-year contract until June 2021. His first competitive match was the 2018 German Super Cup on 12 August 2018, which was lost 0–5 to Bayern Munich. On 18 August 2018, Eintracht Frankfurt were knocked out in the first round of the German Cup by fourth division team SSV Ulm. The start to the league season was also poor, with just four points in five matchdays, but Hütter was able to turn the negative trend around, as Eintracht did not lose in the next eleven games, winning ten, in the Bundesliga and Europa League

Not the kind of start we need
This is exactly the kind of appointment I expect from the fucking useless dunces running THFC...

My personal take is, if we're rolling the dice again, it has to be the next "permanent manager"

Not a "hold me over until Poch"

We say to Poch "this is defcon 1, either you walk now, or we have to move on"

We may well have to pay someone out of a contract. Poch or A.N.Other.

i can't see us sacking him after this. he either steps down or stays
Sorry, but personal tragedy should have no impact on club decision here.

On personal level - I feel for his loss of course.

On business level - at least in my country - when your parent die you get 2 days off and then you are expected to be back to work and do business as usual. Dont know why different rules should apply to multimillionere on short term contract. Plus if they decide to sack him he will get remaining money anyway.

So it should be only whether Vinai fraud want to stick with him or not. Everything else should not matter.

For me the situation as it is now we need a Tottenham man in who actually would give there last breath to keep us up and not someone looking to make a nice sum of money that would be offered

Very sad news to hear about his father passing away. Particularly tragic that he found out this news either during our game yesterday or straight after. I can't imagine the pain of that.

There's more to life than football. The possibility that he may have received this news at half time yesterday but still showed up for the second half is incredible. None of us know what went on. Whether Tudor stays or goes I'm not sure. But he doesn't deserve to have his name or reputation tarnished during this time.

Let's keep this thread respectful for the next few days if possible 🙏
Agreed... many on here will know what it is like to lose their father. I certainly do. He may only have been here a couple of months but let's support him during this tricky time and if he would prefer to be at home with the family then I am sure a mutual agreement can be reached that acknowledges the situation.

I disagree and think that a Fatherly arm around their shoulders from someone like Arry assisted by someone like Timmy or Mason is exactly what they need!
Nah, this lot would bury prime SAF and Wenger.
Arry has done fuck all except adverts and jungle appearances since he left Spurs. He's 80 FFS. It would be an absolute joke to bring him in. Sherwood bombed out at Villa and was part of the circus who got them relegated. Since then, he has shit all over us week in week out on Soccer Saturday. He can fuck off. Mason is realistic but these players aren't going to respond to a caretaker who was sacked by WBA. The have zero pride.
If I was in charge I'd force the lot of them to stay and when they go on strike I'd stop fucking pay them and start fining them. They can waste a season of their shite careers moaning in the press like the cunts they are and sitting at home. And if they try to keep fit at another club I'd fine them even more and petition FIFA to red shirt the year they've missed on their contract for failure to provide services. CUNTS, the lot of them. Apologies, got proper angry then.

To be honest I fully expected a load of De Zerbi talk today, in the same vein you're saying

Surprised it's tumbleweeds, even from the usual BS merchants

But yeah, agreed, we need stability, we need to know what's happening going ahead - no more temps

I don't think there's a coach out there that can come in on a 7 game contract and save this situation.
The only coaches good enough will demand at least next season as well.
And they may also be entitled to a walk-out clause if they can't save us.

I’d say we approached De Zerbi and he said ‘come back in the summer if you’re in the PL, I’m not taking it now’

Four points in 5 matchdays would be a miracle run for our players.

The post from Prof on COYS said we tried before we hired Tudor but couldn't get the deal done so I guess that deal is dead now

Haven't seen that, but, we're more desperate now than we were then - could be we're willing to give I to whatever his demands are more now than before

I’d say we approached De Zerbi and he said ‘come back in the summer if you’re in the PL, I’m not taking it now’

As above, could be we weren't willing to give him just what he wants

Chances are more likely now we are

Including relegation get out etc
