Correct. Shambles of a player. This is modern day football and you need to be able to control and pass to a team mate or clip it into space. He can’t do that. I think he’s an average defender and poor in the air for a giant. It’s ok though because he seems a nice guy. Fuck that fucking shit.
Look at the state of him the third on Sunday. If that’s Romero there would be a meltdown on here and that he doesn’t give a fuck and would not let they happen with Argentina 
He is better than the other two centerbacks so its an utterly mute point about what he can't do. The insane Clown posse recruitment of Lange Ange Levy and Frank is why we are shit.
We often disagree but on this we are aligned. I don't get why he gets so much praise on here. Whenever he gets the ball he looks like a 10 year girl who has never seen a ball let alone kicked one... it takes him an age to get it under control and then he is ponderous with it and ends up hoofing it nowhere. I could live with that if he was a strong defender and good in the air but he get's bullied off the ball by forwards that are 15-20kg lighter than him and don't get me started on his aerial prowess. Igor Jesus is 5' 11 and won nearly every aerial dual with Danso on Sunday who by the way is 6' 3. Honestly, I'd rather have a half arsed Romero than this cumbersome slug. Another mid buy on cheap wages. ENIC have stockpiled this type of player for the last 3-4 years and people wonder why we are on the precipitate of relegation.
I agree on the recruitment but not on him being better than Romero or Micky. I keep having this debate about those two. Good players need good players around them. You could name any centre back in world football and they’d struggle in our team. Any centre forward in world football would struggle in our team. Haaland wouldn’t get 15 goals in our team the way we are just now. Top players thrive with top players. Recruitment is the reason we are fucked.
I think those two are only able to play at 60/70% of their capabilities. There has to be a trust in your team mates and they don’t have that firstly in their keeper and both full backs who are bombscares and can’t be trusted to be in their right positions. Especially at games I see them reluctant to defend the way they should and because they are fearful and not confident that everyone is doing their jobs.
I do get that Romero has been all over the place and I also think our fanbase has turned on Micky when he’s still been our best player over the whole season.
VVD looks an average defender just now because he’s got a clown next to him in Kounate as his centre back partner and a speed boat with no driver in Kerkhez at left back. It’s no coincidence that VVD standards drop because he’s not trusting those around him. There’s so many instances that this happens and I find it difficult not to react when they say Micky and Cuti are shit.
If anyone thinks Danso is better than those two then fair enough but not for me.
Strand Larsen dominated him and won every header against him when we played Palace. If he was a big burly centre forward that was his biggest attribute but he’s not that type of player but still bullied him. Micky and Romero don’t get bullied,yes they might lose headers but the centre forward knows he’s going get a hit. Danso doesn’t even do that.
You need to go back and look at the goals Romero has repeatedly cost us. You can criticise Danso like any other player. He isn't Maldini. But let's stop with the full page op-eds on why they aren't responsible. Lets go Occams razor. The vast majority of the last three disaster years have featured 90% of Romero Porro VDV Udogie Vicario. They are the people responsible dump them fix Spurs. Stop with this massive lie about the great Romero Van De Ven being let down. Im begging you lot its time to wake up and save ourselves. It’s not just defenders you can pin the blame on. It’s too easy for teams to get to our back 4 so every player on the pitch is to blame defensively. I’m not criticising Danso to mask the failings of anyone,I’m criticising Danso for being a shit defender and footballer the same way as people criticise Dragusin ,Romero and VDV. I don’t ever watch Danso or Dragusin and clap them for a good pass, last ditch tackle,crunching tackle,a great run up the pitch or even a goal. I do with the other two. At least Micky and Cuti contribute.
Let’s leave it at we all see it different and we like different players. We could argue all day about this fucking shit squad. To be brutally honest not one of them deserve what we gave them before and during that first half on Sunday.
also, the standards in training will be poor when you have the likes of danso, dragusin and spence etc. we have some fucking terrible footballers, standards in training is a huge thing. stockpiling shit players is club suicide.

The team is just void of a leader. Last year we had Son to keep things intact. This year with Romero and VdV as captain has been terrible.

the thing is it aint their fault, they are what they are, some absolute idiot has scouted them and thought they are good enough to be premier league players at a club that apparently wants CL football...scary.
No matter what happens but whoever made these decisions should be stoned to death outside the stadium at the end of the season. So many average footballers still lurking about our club. It’s embarrassing and I can’t wait till we are rid of so many of them.

Mourinho, by the time he got to Spurs was a gutless wanker, and the match where Mourinho targeted Dav, Dav wasn't at fault for anything and defended immaculately
