Meanwhile I repeatedly warned you that injuries and a meh squad was the reason for our League form last season and that it weas likely Postecoglou was actually overachieving given the circumstances and that it was unlikely a new manager was going to dramatically improve us, and could, quite possibly make things worse.

We had these conversation ad infinitum last season.

On every possible metric - xG/xGA, Goal Difference, Games won... We have gone backwards. We are setting all sorts of records for bad performance. Are you for fucking real right now?

If we somehow stay up none of that will change. We will still have had the most disastrous season since 1977.

I suppose there's an argument that could be made that Frank may have gone further in the Champions League and ended the season 17th, and had obviously lost Son's Maddison's and Kulusevki's goals, the club sold Johnson which is another stream for goals that is blocked.

I wanted Frank sacked when we lost to West Ham, but if he'd have gotten the whole season and the players like Manchester United got that you mentioned, and minus the injuries then the same argument could be made for Frank that is made for Postecoglou.

IDK what he's doing or what he's done but his career doesn't revolve around Postecoglou. Nobody turned him into anything, average players have good seasons and poor seasons, Postecoglou didn't make Solanke score more than the season he had prior at Bournemouth, it's just one of those things, average players have good seasons from time to time, including forwards that occasionally have a good scoring season.

Johnson is capable of scoring a fair few in a good season, ditto Solanke.

Take off your Postecoglou goggles man.

He gets very well paid and wasn't forced to sign a new contract. Other players liking a post means nothing. What do they think the club should be spending or have they been reading what a few spendthriths on here have been writing?

Romero is captain of the club, a decision that might have seemed logical at the time but one which has backfired.

The bigger problem is that neither Frank or Tudor has been able to get him playing better and more consistently.

I'm just stating something he posted on social media about lies, and I assume when there were rumours of him leaving in the summer, then he signed a new contract with a pay rise and was given the captaincy that he was told the club are going to change things and they haven't. Other players liking his post suggests they agree with him.

You're welcome to disagree but that's what I think, until I have other information to show that's not the case. Unless you have that there's no point responding because you think what you want and I think what I want based on the little information that available.

You need to read better my friend. As I've said repeatedly, I was, to my shame, Ange-Out - despite my stated reservations a new manager was unlikely to improve things unless our squad was improved.

Alas our squad wasn't improved nearly enough and we're on the verge of relegation. So everything I warned about last year has come to pass - but even more catastrophically than I imagined.

So under that evidence I returned here to state the obvious - that sacking Postecoglou was a terrible mistake amongst many terrible mistakes made by our Powers That Be.

Why the fuck you and others are rushing in here to deny what is so fucking obvious to any rational person is quite beyond me. Suffice to say that if Skeletor has gone from singing and dancing at Frank's appointment to literally wanting to delete the club within 6 months - I would have thought he'd agree with me.

That's a strawman argument because, anyone could mention any manager that they ''think'' may get us out of it, and as so many other managers weren't hired to find out, then anyone wanting any of them to be the new manager in January can claim they are also 100% correct, as much as you can claim that about yourself wanting Postecoglou.

Just because it was becoming more and more obvious since January we needed a new manager, why would a manager that had us 17th last season with 22 loses, and lasted 10 matches at Nottingham Forest with no wins be the only option?

The problem is this season there isn't a gap between the bottom three and those above, there's Leeds, Forest, West Ham, and ourselves, all trying to avoid the last relegation place, I suspect if the league was like that last season the Europa League would have taken a back seat for our team, meaning that most likely there would be no trophy, Therefore your reason to want Postecoglou back this season in January wouldn't exist.

I was actually referring to the fact that on 24th January I was concerned enough about our form to foresee the ultimate calamity - so panicked that I returned to the Postecoglou thread for the first time in 5 months to float the idea that he might be an option to get us out our mess.

Since then we haven't won a single game and are about to sack our second manager in that time. So while I pray and hope De Zerbi or whoever can come in a get the job done, I'm pretty fucking comfortable in my sense of Spurs and football in general to say my instincts on Jan 24th were pretty much spot on.
