As long as there are cultists demanding the return of a manager who has won 1 of his last 19 premier league games & lost a record number of games in a season for Spurs before winning none for Forest, there will be pushback. Inevitable.
Our “saviour” is a man hideously proven inadequate at premier league level over the last year and a half. People would mock those demanding the return of other managers with a similar win % - they just don’t have a cult behind them so it doesn’t happen.
Let's see what other quality insights our friend MrSkeletor has made over the journey.

Oh dear. I guess things didn't quite work out the way Mr Skeletor thought they would.
What a surprise. He seemed such a switched on, cogent observer of football. And such a nice chap. Oh well...
That would make sense if this was the "Next Manager" Thread but it's not. So why are you policing the Ange Postecoglou thread hunting for wrongthink from people who speak approvingly of him?
It's sooo weird.
“Policing” my guy it’s the Ange thread, if you wanna come in here and beg for daddy’s return go ahead, but people are going to point out his serious deficiencies at erm .. winning premier league matches. Which tends to be an issue with surviving relegation. Of course in return you can say “European trophy” but we aren’t playing in Europe, it isn’t Bodo or AZ or Frankfurt (who Frank beat 2-0 in Germany!) it’s tough English team after tough English team.
Not random at all. they were very focused. You went from::Cry more if you want, shrug.
*Stalking me and picking random comments from my history coz Levi screwed you out of hundreds of thousands of pounds over the years is your problem.
They don’t have a top 5 finish or a trophy eitherAs long as there are cultists demanding the return of a manager who has won 1 of his last 19 premier league games & lost a record number of games in a season for Spurs before winning none for Forest, there will be pushback. Inevitable.

Mate.No. His two years are a fucking sunlit uplands compared to what we have now and we have a Trophy to remember as we sink into the Championship because we listened to derangers.
Just because this thread reminds you of how catastrophically wrong you were about literally everything doesn't mean the rest of us can't reminisce about when we had a manager who managed to squeeze 5th and a trophy out of this shambles of a squad.
Terry Neal took us down. Burkinshaw may have been at the helm when it happened, but Neal was the slag that did all the damage.European Trophy winning Managers for Spurs.
Bill Nicholson.
Keith Burkinshaw*.
Ange Postecoglou.
Of course this thread won't disappear.
*Burkinshaw took us down in 77.
That's correct, if you thought Postecoglou would have got the team away from the threat of relegation back in January, and you still think that now, then you are spot on 100% in agreement with yourself.I'm pretty fucking comfortable in my sense of Spurs and football in general to say my instincts on Jan 24th were pretty much spot on.
The irony in the discussion is that our team that played in the Europa League final were playing more like Thomas Frank's style of cautious football, than Postecoglou's high risk tactics. He had to go, but Frank was the absolute worst appointment we could have made.
You can keep on saying 18 of 19 but as has been mentioned numerous times a number of those loses were part of a bigger plan which workedThat “top 5 finish” was quite a while ago and built upon a very good start. He hasn’t shown any ability to get that kind of form out of a team for well over a year and a half of management. We lack the entire attacking spine of the team that did it!
The trophy was based on beating a team Frank beat 2-0 away, Bodo, AZ, and an almost equally terrible man united team in a shit off final. It gives you no guarantee whatsoever of translating to wins in the premier league, as his failure to win 18 out of the last 19 league games he’s managed shows.

The General rebuilt us from the ground up near enough, with a young Hoddle starting his career, then bringing in quality like Ardiles, Villa, Crooks and Archibald.
