I along with many others underestimated two things, how poor Frank was, but also, the damage Ange's pathetic tactics had done to the squad. He started the losing and we haven't been able to stop it. Was a Europa League really worth relegation....nope.
I still maintain under a decent manager this squad can be top 7, absolutely. Fucking hell, Brentford are up there.

Gray has been non existent for large parts of the season, just like everyone else. He's player of the season amongst a sea of shit is hardly noteworthy if it wasn't for his young age.
That he's shown a bit more than more senior players is commendable, but we are scraping the barrel. Let's get real here, Gray has done very little, as usual Spurs fans are going mad overboard about a young player.

Having watched his teams in the past ranging his Brisbane, Yokohama to Celtic it was clear we lacked the players with the ability to play the way his teams usually plays.
In comparison we never really saw Ange-ball in full flight.
I would never have thought it but our group of players would be the close to the worst with the ability on the ball in the league.
This is the complete opposite what was required.
Missing is a keeper that is good with his feet to play out from the back, ball-playing centre halves, full backs who can defend but can also overlap and can cross and cut back, fast wingers that can beat their man on the outside and score. a midfield enforcer, a number 10 that can unlock a defense, a clinic striker, fast one touch play.
I can think only of Maddison, Udogie (when fit), maybe Porro, Bissouma, that might tick those boxes. Romero did my head in with finger pointing dawdling on the ball.
De Zerbi has a similar philosophy as Postecoglou. It will be very interesting how he goes about it and which players he will keep.
