It's interesting to see that whilst we now have a new manager the poll is still 59% that we will go down. I am quite torn now, and won't make another prediction for two games. I am now going to the Brighton game, so it will be interesting to see what happens. The Sunderland game I have almost written off, but who knows? I think two wins and a draw may be enough, and I believe that maybe possible. I would hope we can beat Leeds and Everton at home, and at least get a draw at Wolves, but if we can't, well that's it I am afraid

I'm not even entertaining the thought right now....
Not cos it CAN'T happen, but cos it HASN'T happened (yet)

...same as we didn't do a Trophy Parade UNTIL the Europa League Cup was WON, there's no point fearing the worst, when, whether it makes you more nervous at the idea - it IS still in our hands!

West Ham can do what they want, we can't affect them...
But we DO play Leeds, and they DO play eachother on the final day...
So hopefully THAT'S your relegation decider as I'm hoping we'd have pulled well clear by then...
...and if we haven't, then it IS all on us, and I'll cross that bridge if we come to it...
Or throw myself off that bridge
... Whatever's quicker!

Tbh de zerbi is a way better manager than rosenior. Cant see de zerbi being outsmarted. Think we will get a result.
Based on what, exactly?
They could have a coked up Paul Merson in charge and start the match with 8 men, and they'd still be favourites at home to us.
1 win the PL era. ONE!
21 losses.
We've gone there in better form than them so many times since probably Poch first started and walked away looking like the players had stage fright.

I won't change my vote until I've seen a game or 2.

It’s statistically proven.

I view the comments on Kudus as a clear example of perfect being the enemy of good. He is a flawed player but clearly a starting player and one who helps us.

Very few players aren’t flawed

What Kudus does is a few things to an elite level, which is receive the ball, keep the ball, and dribble 1v1z

He’s also underrated as a passer.

Hes not Arjen Robben but we could really fucking use his ability to create chaos right now

It’s all about confidence and momentum : a point at Sunderland gets us going .

We just need to get something on Sunday.

Even a credible ( and I reiterate credible) performance and a jammy narrow defeat could be survivable .

Safe to say Brighton at home is the Mother of must-wins .

I agree, though we've kinda painted ourselves into a corner with picking and choosing our 'must wins'...
They're ALL must wins until we're safe...

Whether that's away at Sunderland or home to Brighton doesn't matter....

Leeds at home is the "mother-in-law" of all 6-pointers, seeing as we fucked up the Mother of all 6 pointers against Forest...

If we're still in trouble going to Chelsea, then we're BANG in trouble....

I'm hoping we've got enough points by then to make the Chelsea game redundant, and they can relax a bit...

Mind you, Chelsea fans as well as the whole of football might have to think of something else to keep them amused for the final week, seeing as THIS is the game everyone has somewhat joyously decided HAS to relegate us!

Fucking hell the football Internetati is gonna go into meltdown if we stay up!!!

My take on relegation is this.
3 weeks ago I was certain we would go down, now though with De Zerbi in charge I'm not so sure. I don't think losing to Sunderland on Sunday will confirm it as long as we play properly and better than we have I'll be ok with a loss, however , lose or draw to Brighton at home the following week and I think it'll be nailed on.

I don't want to imagine us getting relegated!

I don't think a win against Sunderland is impossible, and that's what the team should focus on.

It might sound silly, but especially in our situation, they should onlyalways concentrate on the next game.

There's no other way; I don't think we'll get relegated!

COYS!

I'm not hopeful, yet.
I'm really happy about the de zerbi appointment but this squad isn't going to start playing like a football team overnight and maybe not in time
Plus I'm not pinning my hopes on the players coming back from injury. They won't ever get up to full match fitness before the end of the season. I also don't rate any of them highly either. They've all been as rotten as the rest of the squad when fit.

Interesting that the bottom 6 sides have managed 5 wins between them in the last 6 rounds of fixtures.
And 2 of those were Wolves.
5 wins in 36 matches. Us and Leeds are the only 2 to have not won one.
