Management Johan Lange - Technical Director

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Quite an interesting read, suggesting that Lange focusing on data about player's physical output rather than their passing ability has created this garbage team.

We’ve been saying for ages about their passing being bad. Only yesterday before this article came out was it brought up.

50% blame with Paratici

Vicario, Spence, Porro, Udogie, Romero, Bissouma, Bentancur, Sarr, Kulusevski were signed by Paratici who also heavily scouted and wanted Johnson and Madison

The problems at this club go way beyond Lange......where was Lange when we signed Moussa fucking Sissoko for Poch?????????

This club has been buying crap for years!!!!!!!!!

Fairs.

But why do you think you were wrong about Lookman ?
And if you were that wrong about Lookman maybe you've been wrong about a lot of other signings that were available but were scoffed at.

It's over anyway. There will be plenty of time for reflection and recrimination in the Championship...
Because I thought he was overrated and had already flopped once in the PL. I was also concerned about the depth of Serie A. Outside the top five or six teams the rest would struggle in the Championship. Finally he looks like he has a massive chip on his shoulder and we don't need anymore characters like that. In summary, I didn't see him having the same end output for us as he did for Atalanta. I thought he would flame out at Atleti and he's actually banging them in for them. Having said all that, it doesn't guarantee he would have the same impact as Spurs. We are kryptonite for players.

Also, maybe I was wrong about other signings. If you have examples feel free to share them. I'm never worried about being wrong. I've had a good career making tough calls that have not always been right. If you show me someone that's always right then I'll show you someone who's never made a decision or had an opinion.

Finally, it's not over until the fat lady sings. Yes, she is clearing her throat but win Saturday evening and its game on.

Thanks for explaining and I actually agree with the majority on what you are saying. And I'm like you within the context of not minding being wrong - afterall, we all want what's best for the club.

And to be fair to you (again), I was not referring to you individually per se, but more the comments on this board during transfer windows when so many good players were overlooked and sneered at by our own fans as not being "good enough for us".

Let's see what happens this weekend (that's my heart speaking) but my head says stop lying to yourself and get ready for Lincoln away next season...

No problem. Like many on here, I'm guilty of sneering at a few players thinking we should be doing better, or is that player any better than what we already have. Take Danny Welbeck. If we tried signing him last summer people would sneer. Even if we tried to sign him in his prime there would be uproar. I would have probably led the uproar but my god we could do we a Danny Welbeck right now. An honest pro who gives his all and appears to still have a bit of tread left on the tyres.

If I was forced me to sell my home and place it all on a large wager on what happens then I'm putting it all on relegation. Nothing suggests we are going to win another game. But there is still hope and we have to cling to that.

That video is englightening and confirms what we are all seeing. We have a squad of really poor technical players and that's why we are struggling so badly.

Let's be honest even Bergval as he is developing, is showing to be more of a runner than a passer sadly. I had high hopes he'd be a bit of a playmaker but he doesn't seem to be at all and I am not sure what player he will turn out to be, but he doesn't look like a technician. He could turn out to be another Gallagher.

As I've said for years. Surely it can't be hard to find technical players in Europe who are good solid pros, with good engines who would be suited to the league. Spain and Eastern Europe used to produce them by the bucket load, I bet they are still there. Suspect there are some throughout the academy system too in England. Olusesi looked more competent on the ball and able to pass it than most of them stinking out the shirt most weeks. I bet we have another couple in the club who could contribute but dont get a chance because we didnt spend £30 million on them.

First window since Paratici leaves and he signs Gallagher. He's just as bad as Paratici, if not worse.

He was signing players way before Gallager, his first signing was Dragusin and that was for Ange who prioritises possession football, the guy cannot profile to save his life.

Paratici though is getting away with it massively, 75% of the squad is filled with his picks and that's not to mention the ones we ended up selling Emerson, Gil, Gollini etc...

I think he’d have caught less aggro over Gallagher if we’d have got the player that featured for Chelski and he was one of a number of players signed. However he seems to have regressed hugely riding the bench for Atletico.

What we did need in goal threat wingers the moron failed to sign, even though one was offered us on a plate!

We required at least three decent players in January IMHO and they arrogantly thought they could cheap out on it which will ultimately cost us big.

Brighton, Bournemouth etc, don’t seem to have trouble in finding them!

However, they clearly have a much more effective and professional recruitment department.

Paratici never had a strategy. You could tell by the list of managers we went for under him. There was no thought about building a side and appointing a coach under a strategy where they could go together. Clearly just taking whoever his agent mates were offering to him.

Meanwhile clubs like Bournemouth were building a structure where DOF, Manager, Recruitment etc are all aligned on how they wanted to play.

Paratici, Lange, gooner Vinai etc are all other clubs rejects.

We need to stop shopping in the bargain bin to save money. Bet Brighton and Bournemouth are employing fresh talent than washed up has beens who danced to Levy’s tune.

There’s a serious lack of football nous at board level.

I’ve said it before, that they could certainly do worse than have someone balanced like Brad Friedel as a non-executive director or similar.

It needs a completely new set of people and I suspect part of De Zerbi's contract negotiations featured some kind of discussion about the future model and the personnel within it.

If not it would be a massive worry.
