Friday 17 April @ 19.00 - Blackburn u21 v Spurs u21 (PL2)

Last u21 Squad
Bloedorn, Rowswell, Cassanova, Arganese-McDermott (c), Logan, Craig, Olusesi (Black 76), Russell-Denny (Sowunmi), Wilson, Melia (Lehane 76) T Thompson (Furnell-Gil 87).
Substitute (not used): Archer.

Last of the PL2 league phase matches and its likely Spurs stay 8th come what may - which means Spurs in top half of 16 club play off tournament.

Its a bit of a dead rubber but might provide an opportunity for some players to get match fitness eg Hardy, Byfield, LWB et al but with an u18 match on Saturday its unlikely we'll see more u18's in this match, and with a fairly full first team squad not too many opportunities for youngsters other than at forwards where first team is short - so maybe bench opportunities for a couple of LWB, Wilson. Melia, T Thompson ?

First of a few games Spurs need to win as Chelsea are breathing down our necks with a game in hand over us. Might make a couple of changes to freshen up the squad, but unless some of the youngsters now playing for u21's come back to u18's the squad above is pretty much as strong as it can get ?

In the round of 16 playoffs, it will probably be 8th place v 9th place.

Its unlikely that Spurs or Leicester will move from their current PL2 positions in the last fixture, so round of 16 is likely to be :

Spurs u21 v Leicester u21's probably in about one week's time.
