Player Rodrigo Bentancur

Games are won and lost in midfield.

Bentancur is nowhere near the levels he was (major injuries will do that) but my god subbing him off for Palhinha absolutely killed us in open play.

The midfield is an absolute mess and it’s a damning indictment that he’s probably the best one atm.

Give the guy credit,he was excellent yesterday and made a big difference to our midfield. He won the ball back so many times in his 67 mins on the pitch and was very tidy on the ball. We never capitulated yesterday because of our midfield three. Experience is needed from now till the end of the season.

Excellent? Wow. We have very different levels of marking. Guy is a crab. But just slower. He was barely acceptable before the injury. He wouldn’t get in the Norwich side.

You cannot understand how sad I am to hear this. I'll get over it. With help. But I'm beyond with tragedy .Anyway. Bentacur is more useless than Zakora.

He’s not lower than Millwall. That’s a dumb statement. He’s better than Paulinha,Sarr,Gallagher,Bissouma and Bergvall in that position. Gray has shown glimpses of being a player but I’d rather have Bentancur than Gray just now because I think Gray gets a bit lost in a game sometimes due to his inexperience as we saw against Sunderland. I would have Gray instead of Bissouma in next to Bentancur.
We all have players who we can’t stand and Bentancur is one of yours. I feel the same way about many of our squad.

Yeah.

That 50% reduction clause, in Bentancur's wages, inserted by the miser :levylol: has motivated him far more than anything Conte, Ange, Frank or anyone else managed to get out of him.
