Player Randal Kolo Muani

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Went into the season without a real plan for left wing, played Johnson, Xavi, Kolo Muani there out of position. Had no real plan for the backup 10 so that Xavi could adjust to the league, Sarr started the season there. Lost Johnson and Kudus in Jan and brought nobody in to cover the right. We started sorting out the Johnson move at the start of December, Kudus got injured on 4th Jan, there was plenty of time. It's a joke how our attack has been handled.
We should've bought a first choice LW option rather than the opportunistic Tel signing that was based purely on potential but made pretty much zero sense in terms of squad building.

Tel might turn into a proper player one day but when we already had Odobert it was so bloody obvious we didn't need another raw kid in that part of the pitch.

He's been a disaster but I thought he hasn't wanted to be here since he joined. His very first training session his body language was terrible. Maybe that's just the way he is all the time but for me it said it all.

Just shows how bad some players can be, just imagine we spent 70 million on him and signed him permanently instead.

Luis Enrique absolutely hated him and couldn't wait to get rid. That's one of the game's greatest ever coaches.

But we decided to trust Lange instead.

My club.

If Muani had scored 5 league goals all season I’d be thinking…”what a fucking waste of wages”

That he has, what ?, one ? Is absolutely ridiculous.

He is embarrassingly bad. I dunno what’s happened to him here. He isn’t this bad a footballer .. tempted a big PSG bid, disappointing there but not beyond terrible or anything. Very good Juventus loan spell.

He barely looks like he can control or kick a ball playing for us.

Another opportunistic one that's failed. Could see the logic in getting a forward in as Solanke was injured and we all know Rich's injury history, but getting a guy who clearly didn't really want to be here and saw us as a last resort option is never the way to go.

And tbh again it comes back to the Tel signing yet again. We signed Tel to cover at striker in Jan, so why did we make it permanent when we then didn't even deem him good enough to be a 3rd choice option up front? It's basically an immediate admission we fucked up that signing and Frank basically then did everything he could to deny him minutes.

Opportunistic signings at the expense of actual proper squad building have killed us over the past 7-8 years, whether it was Levy or Lange pushing them.

Yup, all signings were decided based on value rather than necessity. Didnt matter which position was required, as long as the opportunity to get a cheap signing or one with good resale value presented itself.

Not sure if this is true, he was signed last minute becaue of Solanke's injury, that's it. We weren't even looking at him in the Summer he just came up on our radar because we had to get emergency cover, guy didn't even have a pre season.
